Seichi Hino & Toko Ling
"So what does this organization have to do with us anyway?" Seichi said towards Toko, "You'd think a job like what Sensei's saying would be given to the Anbu squads or somethin?" Though Seichi wasn't bothered that he was assigned to help on the issue with fellow genin, he knew his father was conservative when it came to village procedures and such. Clicking his fingers against the desk, Toko turned to look at Seichi and anaylsed his words for a moment before returning his gaze to the wooden surface in front of him. "It's odd, yeah..." Seichi had really hit his head on the nail with that one. Why would they send a group of genin after this organization? It didn't make any sense. "Maybe they want to make a scene..." The Anbu squad was after all specialised in taking care of things silently and from the shadows. While many genin preferred the same methods, Toko included, they were miles apart from the masters of stealth known as Anbu. "Because..." The boy would grin softly, turning a playful expression to his friend. "They are sending you in...after all..." Seichi would brush his hair back, giggling at his friend's statement. "Me! Make a scene...Never!" He would reply jokingly knowing how he gets during combat. It wasn't an anger issue in Seichi's case. He willingly knows his strengths and weaknesses, his behavior during battle being one of them. "Even so..." Seichi would add leaning back into his chair and letting his hair fall, "It must be pretty serious for the whole five-man squad thing." "Whatever though!" Seichi would say resting his arms on his chair's back and motioning with his head towards Asuka, "Atleast we're together" "Yeah..." Together, they would always be together, right? Actually, there had been a reason as to why Toko was burrying himself in work lately. With the squads forming, the possibility, or rather the risk of ending up with someone else was absolute. Enduring that thought was nothing Toko could manage on a daily basis, something he came to terms with rather fast. For a kid who rarely showed any emotion, he sure held a lot behind that innocent smile of his. "I'm happy we...ended up together..." In truth, he'd only turn to look at Asuka once and that was simply to make her feel included, or better yet, to make himself seem void of the emotions he harboured. Asuka was a good friend of Toko's, that was no secret. However, while he did quite enjoy the fact that the two of them would face danger together, hand in hand, there was another hand his mind had been clawing at for the past week. Week would however be an understatement. "I'll...always have your back..." The boy would speak quietly, not looking up from the table as his words were directed at Seichi. "The star on the stage usually...has a lot of eyes on him. Someone needs to make sure no one stabs you..." Again, he didn't look up. Of course, there was a sense of irony and sarcasm in his voice but the fact that he couldn't even look up when uttering those words had to mean something. "Asuka will be with you on the front lines though so...I've nothing to worry about..." He'd finally manage to look up but only briefly and attempted to keep his eyes on the girl rather than Seichi. ~Combined Post with [@Shard]
