Once the final impact made its marks, and the male skidded to a stop on the floor, he let both legs collapse behind him and lay there groaning for a moment. It hurt...but it couldn't have been that bad. He had stuck the landing better today than he had two days ago, when he had somehow managed to roll right out the door on his way down.
