Nickname/Alias: If my name's to hard to pronounce for you, just call me Monkey. I'm down. Age: It's complicated. See Tome/History. Allegiance: FREEEDOOOM! Měihóu Niángniang is loosely affiliated with the Librarian. Měihóu is a difficult woman to trust. History: Měihóu Niángniang's history and age are unreliable, as Měihóu's mind and soul are vulnerable to her own transformations. The truth of what may have happened in the past to Měihóu, may no longer have any relevance to someone who has no longer experienced the lessons or horrors of said truth. Her promises and alligiances of today may be completely unremembered and nonexistent to the Měihóu of tomorrow. Měihóu can be a radically different person over a long enough period of time, having literally changed into a different person. That said, Měihóu has been in her current name and mindset for awhile, having currently reached a peak in her strength, apparently subconsciously unwilling to be stronger, wishing still to be challenged. As to her past, the only real hint is that she seems to be based on a legend from before the shattering of the world, implying either staggering age or, more likely, a study of ancient mythology. Perhaps a mixture of both. Regardless, her physical age is entirely worthless as a statistic. Personality: Her name for herself is "beautiful monkey goddess".... Hmm.... That said, she seeks challenges, mysteries, adventure, and freedom. She rarely thinks about the consequences to others, but when she does, is fairly kind, aiming to help others reach the same level of freedom Měihóu enjoys. Perhaps the most comforting thing about Měihóu is the fact that, with her tome being a reflection of herself, her weapon has the ability to negate the harm it deals to others, and this has remained stable. Tome (Color and Abilities): As-You-Will-Scroll Měihóu's big ass staff there unrolls into a massive scroll, with an incredibly detailed set of drawings, most of animals in various states of interacting with each other. Upon detailed look, the individual strokes of the drawings can be identified as densely packed computational algorithms. The scroll contains the power of transformation, taking one thing and transforming it into another. Měihóu Niángniang has used this ability to forge herself into the legend she wants to be, an superhumanly strong warrior with a transforming staff, imitating the legend she wishes to be like. Her ability to transform things is dependent on three important qualities, touch, likeness, and willingness. Her power quickly becomes useless at ranges longer than a meter or two. A willing person could be transformed nearly as easily as Měihóu herself, but at an unwilling person would require Měihóu to have an overwhelming power or time advantage, be touching, and be making a small change. Inanimate objects are generally considered mildly unwilling, with the exception of Měihóu Niángniang's tome, and changing someone else's tome or a relic is laughably out of the question. For example of "mildly unwilling", it would generally be equally difficult for Měihóu to enhance her own strength to break through an object, as it would be to transform that object into breaking itself. The similarity is as can be expected. Transforming sand into water would require far more energy than turning blood into water. Turning a person into a catgirl would be much easier than turning a person into a cat. An interesting side ability of the As-You-Will-Scroll is its ability to negate the "harm" it deals targets. The target will still experience pain, be incapacitated if lethal damage would have been done, and suffer general fatigue from the blow instead of damage. However, the pain will never be traumatic, it will not even break bones, and bruises will heal incredibly quickly. This ability is usually on, and it take's Měihóu's concentrated attention and power to turn it off. Of final note is that Měihóu transformations, so potent over long periods of time, can change the base form of the recipient if they are truly willing. This is how Měihóu has made herself so strong, by over the years layering as much strength in one transformation as she can, waiting until it becomes her base form, and transforming again. This requires a solid year at least, if the person is completely willing, and cannot ever happen if the subject is unwilling. The exception is to objects, they don't change back.
TL/DR: If you want to be a non-humanoid somehow, or have some alien physiological traits, Měihóu is a great person to have met in your backstory.
