[@SomeoneSomewere] Kian watched Dusk be carted away wistfully, then turned his attention to the demi waiting for him. He didn't seem to like the demi-raven that much, if his appearance was anything to go by, but at least his guide was a demi. Scratching again at the chains that bound his wings, he followed the older boy. He was slightly startled when the demi - no, Austin - spoke to him, and he almost replied in a caw. Clearing his throat, he tried again. "I'm... Kian." He forced out, voice hoarse from disuse. It had been years since he spoke the human tongue; honestly, he was a bit surprised he still remembered the words. Once again, he scratched irritably at the chains that kept him from flight. They were rather excessive, he thought. One chain on each wing, binding them closed. Two chains around both wings, tying them together. Two chains that crossed over his chest, just to make sure he was well and truly earthbound. Kian wasn't sure if that was just because he was a bird demi, or if the humans just wanted to make him even more miserable; either way, it was overkill. Letting out a hoarse chuckle, he agreed with Austin. "Hell on... earth, indeed." At least he would be able to move freely, and maybe someday, if they wanted to make full use of him, they would let him fly. A slim hope, yes, but the only hope he had.
