Fei
Fei’s eyes flared as her feet stomped toward the crowd. It was beyond her how someone so low on the totem pole could be so ignorant and barbaric. She flipped her burning red hair out of annoyance once more. Perhaps a sword fighting session would do her some good, after all what point was there standing around arguing with a foolish child when she could be training? Fei sighed. Coming to the festival was a horrible idea, she should have just waited for her mother at the academy. Lost in thought, she almost didn’t hear the words coming from Acerbus’s mouth. Almost. Fei’s small, locked chest under her shirt burned bright red as the tips of her hair lit up in small flames. A whirlwind of curses and insults bombarded her mouth. There was no way he was walking out of this without apologizing for his little stunt. She had seen him around the academy a few times, always in the background, always watching. The two eyed, pompous boy clearly had a death wish. Just before Fei could pull out her swords to teach this wise guy a lesson, a familiar redhead strolled up to them. “Mother!” Fei gasped in delight, the fire fading around her head. Maybe the night wouldn’t turn out as bad she believed. The one person she loved in the world was finally beside her and no one at the carnival could outshine her bright smile. “Fei, I’m back,” Eleonor said. “Who is this, a friend from the Academy?” Fei turned back to look at Acebus and grinned wickedly. No one could stand up to the Crimson Guardian, and if they tried, not even the lord above could help them. But then again, Fei’s mother had never met a single one of her friends. Not because Fei didn’t trust her mother, but because she just didn’t have any. Who needs friends though when you had the best woman in the world as your mother? A loud whistle coming from a disgraceful slut in the carnival pulled her out of her thoughts. Outright disgusting! Fei glared at the filth as she walked off before turning back Acerbus. “Him? Heavens no. He was just going to say something about me though, weren’t you Acebus?” Fei smiled innocently and blinked, daring him to repeat his last comment.
