Other than possessing a high armor value, the gauntlet has a magical effect when worn that allows the user to strangle a target at a distance using a gripping gesture. [*][b]Phantom Blade (Divine-Class)[/b]: A Divine-Class Weapon given to Mercuria by her creator Circa. This weapon has a special ability that allows its blade to pass through physical protection magic of 7th-Tier or below. [/list] [b]Bio:[/b] Mercuria Alpha is the creation of a female guild member named Circa, who was in charge of managing the guild's intelligence and covert operations. Mercuria's original purpose was assist her guild in the gathering of closely-guarded secrets by uncovering vulnerabilities of other guilds or individual players and to take care of any threats to the guild's operations with discretion. Unlike most player-made NPCs in YGGDRASIL, who were made to follow instructions given to them by their creator, Mercuria was designed to operate autonomously and independently, although due to the technical limitations of the game, it was obvious to other players that she was still an NPC. Less-observant players might be fooled to the point of believing that she was simply a very quiet and reclusive player. The overall design of Mercuria's AI was focused on efficiency and effectiveness above all else, with little attention to the complexity of her personality or dialogue. However, Mercuria's spartan, efficient design was not due to a lack of care from her creator, but rather it was her creator's own quiet and calculating personality that influenced her design. As part of her autonomous design, Mercuria was created with the attributes of independence and self-sufficiency, specifically to "depend on no one but yourself". Due to her limited interactions with the other players of the guild, Mercuria's presence within the guild halls was largely overlooked, but remains one of the guild's most dangerous hidden weapons. From the day Mercuria was created, her AI programming was largely unchanged by her creator, who strongly believed her ruthlessly efficient creation was "perfect" to begin with. It was until one day when Circa decided to quietly quit YGGDRASIL that she decided to permanently alter Mercuria's default humanoid form to match her own character's physical appearance as a strange form of farewell to her fellow guild members. Now alone in the New World, Mercuria greatly misses the presence of her creator, despite having never been treated more than a simple automaton. Mercuria inwardly fears she was a failure to her creator and that her creator's dissatisfaction was the reason for her abandonment. She is also secretly envious of the other NPCs in the guild whose creators are also with them in the New World.
