Yuki
"You have everything? Clothes? Tolietries? Allergy medicine?" Her mother kept sprouting off random stuff she might need, hardly taking a breath. Yuki stood in front of the taxi that was parked in front of the docks leading to the water as she unloaded her luggage and talked to her mother on the phone at the same time. Yuki tried to speak up but her mother barreled forward and she sighed, used to her mother going off on tangents. Her mother finally paused to take a breath and Yuki inserted her two cents, knowing that if she allowed her mother to get a second wind she would go on and on. "Hai, Oka-san. I promise I have everything I will need." She waved as the taxi driver drove off and faced the dock. Before her mother could start up again, Yuki promised to call them every night and bid them a good-bye. She tucked her phone in the pocket of her jeans and began wheeling her suitcase down the docks. She inhaled the air and sighed, feeling a peace settle over her. She had spent every penny of the money she had made on her part-time job in the campus cafe just to pay for her share. Her parents had offered to contribute but Yuki refused, wanting to do it herself. It involved a lot of late nights and extra shifts but the reward was worth it in the end. She reached the ship and stepped aboard, admiring the decor before she stepped up to the front desk to check-in. It went pretty smoothly and she received the key to room 8714. She headed up and felt her eyes widen as she stepped into the girls room. Those extra shifts were definitely worth it if this was the pay-off. She chose the room with the balcony and set her suitcase on the bed. She flung open the doors and breathed in the sea air. She smiled, feeling happy for the first time in weeks. A pang hit her heart as her brain tried to remember just why she hadn't been feeling happy as of late. No, she wasn't going to think of him right now. She had agreed to come to forget about that. Though it would be a little hard considering he was actually coming to. She sighed and got to unpacking, singing softly to herself as she danced around to put all her stuff away.
