Mary had been on the bus with the rest of the students. She didn't do much the entire trip. She remained quiet and mature, unlike some rowdy others. Upon the bus stopping, Mary charged out of the bus first. After all, she had forgotten to go to the washroom before going on the bus. After charging out of the bus and almost getting into the building, she remembered about her bag. She backtraced and waited for the driver to hand her the large bag, and then charged towards the washroom.

Upon leaving the washroom and entering the main foyer, she went to where they were assigning decks and packs. Most of the good decks had been taken by the more... serious students. Mary was upset, but her emotions were instantly diverted upon seeing the box art of one of the newly released deck packs: Tomatoes of Wrath - a deck so bad that they almost didn't release it. Mary asked the man for the deck and the man confusingly gave her the deck, wondering why anyone would pick it. The man assigning decks then asked if she wanted a pack, but by the time he looked up, Mary had vanished.

Mary had just walked off, to be honest. Not really a ninja technique. Really, more like a powerwalk. She walked towards the table with the paperwork and then filled in the blanks. Name? Mary Ael. Full name? Mary spent a while writing it. Mary then made her choice on a duel disk; she ended up choosing the simplest looking one (the standard academy style). Mary then wandered off to observe the various duelists.
