Once both duels were over, the speakers started to flare up again as a familiar voice rang out to greet the students' ears again. "ROUND TWO IS OVER!" Melchior greeted, "We have seen some amazing card play again folks! Over in Arena one we have witnessed the struggle between Plant and Dragon, with both sides giving it their all! At first the match had been slow, but once Akemi was able to play her field spell card she had put Hayate on a timer. The dragon tamer had tried to sturden her defenses, but the Sylvan power was too strong! Once Akemi had performed her Xyz Summon there was nothing Hayate could do! She had tried one last effort with a Kaibaman Honest combo, but it wasn't enough! Akemi had skipped a turn for some reason, but the one following that had a relentless offense which ended with a surrender from Hayate. Congratulations, Akemi!" The announcer finished up the summary of the first duel, then went on to the second. "Next was the struggle between Fiend and Toy! Haas and Andre dueled with the full extent of their might. Haas had set up a strong field to withstand the ruthless onslaught of Fiends, doing everything he could to try and stop their attacks! Unfortunately for Haas, whenever he got rid of one card another appeared. Even with the overwhelming advantage Supply Squad and Shard of Greed gave him, the furious attacks from Andre's archfiends proved too much to mount an effective defense against! Andre, Congratulations!" The screens in the middle of the room showed the faces of the winners for a moment, then switched back to the list of names again. "Oooh! It seems the higher-ups can't wait to see another duel! If I'm honest, neither can I, so let's see who is going to be up next! Name link, go!" The list of names popped back up again, this time a boy named Leander being the first to search out an opponent. His name linked with Hayato, the screens flashing up for a second to show the two duelists their respective opponents. "HERE IT IS! The first Duel for round three will go to LEANDER and HAYATO! Duelists, make your way over to the arena! We can't wait to see what you'll show us!" The next link started again, this time someone named Vincent being the first to search out something. It connected with Zacharie, someone the boy had met earlier. Both their names and pictures flashed up on their screen, making it official they fight each other. "WE HAVE OUR MATCH-UPS PEOPLE! The second duel of round three goes to VINCENT GULFUS AND ZACHARIE BEAU! Duelists of Round three, show us your duels and do your best!"
The corners of Ethel's mouth raised up ever so slightly when she saw the match-ups flare up on the screen. Finally, everyone who was around her would go and leave temporarily in one go, so she finally has some peace of mind and isn't constantly bothered by everyone. Her legs were crossed with the Duels Disk resting atop her lap. "Good luck." She called out to the three boys, not really wishing them that but merely signalling how satisfied she was with them being off to duel.
Haas whistled when he saw Hayate had lost. Seems like rooting for each other didn't work out so well, huh... Speaking of which, he couldn't find the girl anywhere. Did she find her brother or something? Ah, not like it mattered. He took a spot somewhere up high, changing his perspective somewhat and leaning against the wall. He'd have a good view of both dueling fields from here. Though somehow Haas got the feeling people were staring at him... Was it because of his duel just now? Couldn't be, right...?
