Anthony De Rossi
It took a long time for Anthony to find the gear everyone had as most were gone when he got to the bins. He managed to get one of the last pokedexes but was disappointed to see no holo casters or pokeballs remained. Luckily he had brought with him a gift from his mother, one dusk ball like the one Jaws used (even if he never got inside it) and three net balls and a premier ball they gifted to her for the purchase of those but he didn’t know what to do about the holo caster as they said it was very useful. It was then when he saw a Buneary hopping by with a blue one and deposit it on the bin. “Thanks man, you saved my life,” he shouted at the pokemon’s back as it returned from where it came from not being able to listen. Anthony made his way to where he left Jaws and wasn’t surprised to see him roaring at children and pokemon alike, looking for a worthy adversary to brawl and test. Anthony calmly sat and crossed his legs waiting for Tyrunt to find a compatible pokemon as he inspected his new gear. He examined all the features the stuff gifted to him had and familiarized with every aspect of each piece by meticulously pressing every button or tab he found. He looked up to see his pal get frustrated as none of the remaining wild pokemon were capable of fighting him as they simply ran far from the Tyrunt. “You are supposed to make friends not scare them away!” Anthony laughed as more pokemon cleared the royal heir’s path. The trainer tried to find humor in the situation as he didn’t want to lose hope about finding a new partner. Exhausted of the roaring, Jaws slumped besides Anthony just falling victim to exhaustion. Anthony stroke his head and fed him some more food as he looked around, surprised to see the few amount of pokemon that were left. “You tried buddy, don’t worry if it wasn’t meant to be it wasn’t meant to be,” he whispered to the resting pokemon. Accepting defeat Anthony would let his pal lay down for a while and then they would return to his aunt’s, or at least that was the plan until a crowd of kids and pokemon came running, half scared to death. “He bit me!” one of the kids cried “Run! That thing will hurt you,” another warned Anthony as he passed running for his life. If Jaws wasn’t still beside him he would have assumed the Tyrunt was the cause of the mess but instead chasing away the crowd was a small blue quadruped Pokémon with black fur covering its head and neck, concealing everything but its mouth from view. The hair covering his head took the shape of a single horn. “Well look at that beauty,” Anthony whistled elbowing his friend. The Tyrunt turned his head and looked at the pokemon with interest. “Tyrunt,” It cheered as he saw potential getting up with renewed energy as he roared loudly at the newcomer. To his relief the pokemon didn’t even flinch and just turned in defiance towards where the sound came from. Anthony took out and used his pokedex for the first time. Deino, the Irate Pokémon. Because Deino never stops biting anything it can, it is dangerous to approach without taking precautions, the thing said. “You heard that Jaws? This one ‘s a fighter and just as hungry as you are,” Anthony happily expressed as the rambunctious fellow prepared to charge them. Jaws was ready, Anthony had heard from his aunt that before capture some pokemon gave a fight and they had prepared accordingly. The Deino ran against them and tried to head-butt the Tyrunt “Use Dragon Tail,” the trainer calmly commanded as Tyrunt evaded and hit the pokemon directly. The head-butt struck hard against Jaws’ attack but the typing easily won the battle and the Deino was sent flying across the field. Not accepting defeat, the Pokemon launched shock waves of pure rage which Anthony recognized as Dragon Rage back from the academy. Anthony wasn’t fighting seriously as he only wanted to test the Deino’s strength but their adversary sure wanted to pulverize them. Not wanting Jaws to take damage, Anthony ordered him to dig. Once he came out the battle would nearly be over. As predicted Jaws burst up from the ground and struck the confused Deino so harshly it sent him crashing down hard, at the edge of fainting. “You could never have won against us friend,” Anthony told the bruised pokemon as he approached it with the dusk ball. “You would have needed training to do that. We can offer you that training, and not just it but also a home and a family where you can act as you please and become part of something bigger,” he continued. “So what do you say? Do you want all that?” he offered. The Deino gave a weak nod as the strength of Jaws’ attack had been brutal and it was glad to join such a powerful pokemon. “What I expected from a Dragon type,” he laughed as he threw the ball. Once safely locked inside, Anthony took their new pal to heal and then released him from his new pokeball to bond. As a kid approached to scan him with his pokedex the Deino tried to tackle him, only being stopped by Jaws’ convenient intervention who held his short tail down with his massive jaws. “Calm down girl, you are quite the trouble maker aren’t you?” Anthony laughed as he patted and fed what the nurse told him was a female Deino. “That’s it! Trubel, that’s your perfect name,” Anthony exclaimed as he remembered the name of a rebellious character from a TV show he liked. The Deino thought about it for a while but conceded it was appropriate. “Deino!” It cried in agreement. “Perfect, well Truble this is Jaws, and I’m Anthony,” he said tipping his hat off to the female Pokemon. “Deino,” it cried in response and the group laughed at a joke only the three of them could understand. “Well Trubel, usually you’ll have to travel inside your new ball but as you’re new to the posse I’ll let you walk with us as long as you don’t attack anyone. Deal?” Anthony said kneeling to talk face to face with his new pokemon. Trubel thought about it and reluctantly agreed with a sharp nod. “Perfect, let’s get onto our adventure right now. You agree guys?” The two pokemon energetically cried in agreement. Apparently it was easier said than done because the three of them remained there for a moment wondering on what to do next. “Or we could find help starting…” Anthony sighed as he looked around for someone to ask about the basics. All his aunt covered was until he captured his first pokemon, right now he was lost. Anthony found one guy carrying a slakoth over by the gear bins and approached him. “Hey man, I’m Anthony and these are my companions Jaws and Trubel,” he introduced. “I was wondering if perhaps you could help us.”
