Name: "Ehren, Just Ehren." Species: Feral Purebred Vampire Age: Ehren was born in the early 12th century during the Middle Ages. He stopped aging at his prime at 27. Appearance: Covering the majority of his back, is a tattoo of a large tree - his family linage. The trunk runs along his spine, starting from his waist. The branches run along his ribs and shoulder blades, and one goes right over his left shoulder to end right over his heart where he honors his late wife, son, and unborn daughter. Branching down his right bicep his where he honors his late parents. There is one empty branch below that for his brother, though it is nameless, only for the sake of his brother's safety. In the center of the trunk lies his family crest as if it were carved into the bark. Each name was written in the natural lines of the tree so that it could only be read when carefully studied. Personality: With fangs that are hard to hide, Ehren isn't one much for talking. He prefers to listen, and respond when necessary. He may be a bit more social when around his own kind, but he'd rather make allies than friends. For his lack of enthusiasm when it comes to conversation, he can be seen as cold and uncaring. Ehren spends a great deal to think logically instead of letting his emotions get in the way, which he believes is the reason his son was taken from him. With the strict training he had as a child, he continues to hold the power it takes to stay sane while on his diet, but he may have outbursts with cruel intentions time to time. The outbursts usually occur not long after feeding, but die down as he goes back to human blood. It's one of the ways he battles his temptation of going mad, though each times proves to be harder and harder. He tries not to feed off of other ferals, but with a stubborn personality, he'll get what he needs no matter the cost. Equipment: He carries a dagger, normally tucked into his boot. It's a family heirloom, one he's taken care of religiously for all these years. With his age and his diet, he tends to lean more towards his strength, though he's realizing that it's not much protection with modern weapons. Around his neck is an old necklace made out of leather with a golden pendant of his family crest - something his wife gave to him when they found out they were pregnant. Background: Born to a family with a high stature, Ehren got all the education and training he could ever need without leaving his family home. He learned under Scholasticism, and trained under all of the great war leaders of his time. It was a time where their secrets were out in the open, where those who did not know them feared them and those who did, worshiped them. They didn't bring about death, but instead - protection. They did as they promised, protecting their village during the night and hiring those they trusted during the day. Ehren was one of the few that was blessed with the ability to have a family, even more so when the love of his life was able to give him a son. They were to continue on in place of his parents, using all that he's learned to protect those that were loyal to him. During a night when he was out with his 9 year old son, practicing the techniques of the longsword, a group of feral rouges burned through their village. There were too many of them for him and his men to fight off and it lead to the end of his reign, and the death of his family. It was then when he heard the rumors of this "Society" and decided to seek it out, only if his true intentions were to find every rouge he could find just to cut them down in the failed attempts of mending his heart. He learned quickly that feeding on these rogues gave him great power, power that he should have had to protect his son. With no exception to the Laws of The Society, Ehren quickly found himself running from them. Already feeling the strength that comes with the new found diet, he refuses to give it up. Now he is somewhat of a hunter himself, seeking out those that threaten his kind - vampire or human. If his kind is all that he had left to fight for, then at least it's something. Extra: Ehren's diet doesn't only consist on vampire blood. When he feeds for sustenance, he feeds on humans. It's only when he hunts for rogues is when he feeds on vampire blood. Ehren also enjoys being fed from, even though he wouldn't admit it. He gets a certain high off knowing that his life-force is currently running through someone else's veins with feelings of control and ownership. Ehren has also never once used his wings before. With a very minor fear of heights (more so with the fear of lack of control of his wings), he refuses to take flight, in any circumstance.
