"Oh my baby boy is finally leaving!" A large, muscular man with a shaved head and a five o'clock shadow cried out in between his sobs. He wore an apron with a smiling Munchlax eating a bowl of ramen noodles with the diner's name, Hataka's Place. To give a little history of the place, despite being a diner among the many fancy restaurants of Lumiose City, Hataka's Place is actually a five star facility. It's been widely recognized by many reviewers to be one of the best eating establishments in Kalos and the cheapest of the five star restaurants. It is a small hole in the wall serving common, ordinary food though with different takes and such high quality that the close minded gourmets of the world were astounded. The food served was a mix of Kalosian and Johtonese delicacies, a strange marriage of two entirely different cultures that somehow works remarkably well. The diner earned its stars and was successful, but there are still those that are very hesitant to step foot into it. Some of the customers were mob bosses, gym leaders, heads of many businesses, government agency heads, and occasionally an elite four member among the normal customers. If any of those kinds of people met up with each other, chances were that it would get messy, but the diner was a place where they did not pull anything. There was one person that scared them all. It wasn't the large muscular man that many assume would be intimidating with his appearance alone. It was his wife that was truly terror incarnate. Speaking of which... "Oh shut up! Your boy is going to a journey, not dying! Jean's mother yelled at the muscular man, Jean's father and the owner of the restaurant. Even though she was the mother of a nineteen year old boy, she was still in her mid-thirties and had the majority of the features that Jean inherited from her, including her personality traits. Yes, this woman was what kept from any fights from bursting out of the restaurant. This pretty, dainty blue haired woman is what scared the hell out of even mob bosses. She'll suplex any idiot thinking of starting a riot in her restaurant and if someone was foolish enough to run off without paying then expect this woman to chase after him with a Drapion by her side. Yeah, she was a scary woman and someone to not mess with. "By the way Jean, make sure to advertise our restaurant while you're out. Free is always better." His mother said with dollar bill eyes and held up a t-shirt with the diner's logo on it. "Oh hell no! Ya fucking crazy if ya think I'm gonna wear that!" Jean slammed his hand on the counter. "Boy you're going to wear it! You're going to help us with the business even when you're hauling ass from a pack of Taurus!" His mother slammed her hand on the counter as well, the both of them looked like they were going to go ham on each other. "U-um sweetie, Jean? How about we both calm down and-?" "Shut up!" The mother and son said at once. Much later, Jean walked out with his backpack and his parents standing outside of the diner, his father sobbing on his mother's shoulder who looked quite a bit annoyed with her spineless husband. Still, she wasn't soulless. Inside she was going to miss her son.
