Well that was over and, after a eliciting a slight blush from Zacharie as he completely induced the social awkwardness and was reeducated by Vincent shortly after. Perhaps it was a bit too aggressive a display for here in this country, as they seem to associate kissing with something else other than friendship. Fortunately that blunder wasn't recorded by anyone, else that would certainly ruin both of their reputations on the first day, and since no one saw this little faux pas, it looks like they were in the clear. "Merci Vincent, I..." "I 'ad selected the standard dueling, and the exceed summoning." A quick recovery although the tone of his voice suggested there was something else before that and was dismissed to back of his mind. "Zis game is complicated enough without trying to ride something No? I hope to see you in the dorms as well, I expect probably Wind for both of us, luck 'ad too much to it, not as much skill No? So, will I see you in class too Vincent?" --- So it was not fated to be. Fate, fortune, and destiny, the cruel trio which oversees and scatters. Zacharie gave Vincent a slight nod, in acknowledgement of his wrong prediction, it appears their duel had separated them if only by a hair. A draw engine after all was much less effective than a search engine, that being said, his starter deck had elements of both. The spell counter side was the draw engine, and the spellbook side was the search engine. Although certainly there needed to be a few more books to be added to the shelves, maybe even streamline and strip a few cards out to make room for multiple copies of his books. Regardless, it seemed the staff and administration here at this Academy was a bit off their keys. The principal was ancient, and that guy who read the names off was this point was probably inebriated. Bon? No! his last name was Beau! "I prefer le escalier, more time to read." He gave Vincent a nod as he decided to go underground via the less conventional route as most of them waited by the elevators. Sure it was more of a walk, but that was healthier right? Certainly Zacharie did enjoy his cheeses, and butter, and fats being raised on classic French dishes, but keeping a trim figure was easy if you took the path less traveled. He was not expecting being placed in the light dorm, it seemed a bit unfair that simple luck of the draw would set him high upon this precarious pillar. That being said, the room was quite luxurious. A very large bed in the corner, and a vanity dresser and closet, a long desk along the wall and a good number of electrical sockets with a very nice chair. The half-bathroom was well stocked with amenities, as Zacharie explored around and started to unpack, setting his books atop the dresser while filling up the shelves with some more personal effects. All in all, it was not so different from Home, well his American home anyways, their homes in Paris was far more elegant, but Zacharie had his mother to thank for that. Four luxuries could be requested, whatever those would be, yet Zacharie had his simple pleasures of his books. It was all he needed really, maybe a laptop would let him chat with his family, wherever they happened to be. There was one here in this country, but most were either in France or touring Europe. Did they have the Wi-Fi down this deep? On his way out to grab a bite, he saw that girl from earlier, wearing some a bit risqué, certainly as revealing as Juna's white dress, if not more. Zacharie had put on the academy jacket, not quite the uniform, but certainly the jacket draped over his shoulders, the empty sleeves hanging on either side. It was conveniently worn, something to conform but keep himself distinct from the masses. He wondered if the rules allowed students to intermingle between dorms, guests even? Anyways there was that Carson brother, the dark one, as Zacharie passed him and frowned a bit. He expected the elder brother to be here at least, but he was placed in Wind for some odd reason. Nevertheless, it not be wise to gain enemies so early and so he erased the frown and quickly caught up to Ethel, deciding not to comment on her outfit. "Bonsoir Mademoiselle, Iz a shame Vincent is not 'ere no?" Maybe it would a good time for a meet and greet with your Dorm mates?
