[b]Bio:[/b] Brooke’s mother abandoned her when she was a baby, leaving her to be raised by a frequently-absent father and an alcoholic aunt. Although her father and aunt loved her, they were usually too preoccupied with their own issues to take care of her, so she had to learn to fend for herself from an early age. Her cool, detached demeanor and lack of social tact kept her from forming close friendships with her peers. One night, she awoke to a bedroom filled with smoke and, with the door blocked by flames, discovered that she could make a portal to escape outside. Her father and aunt died in the fire, and the firefighters who saw her portal sent her to the orphanage.
