For a position that requires killing, the young woman is unusually kind. She can get stubborn and hardheaded at times when she's really determined to achieve something, sometimes to the point she can't see the obvious long term consequences to her actions. Although a little naive, from the hell that she's currently going through, she's learning to be less trusting and more cautious of the morality of the strangers she encounters. Equipment: - Taurus PT38S - Silver-coated hunting knife - Silver cross - A picture of her brother in her wallet Background: Jane shouldn't me considered a hunter; not in the least bit. Her name is very fitting for her: simple and unnoticeable. She's lived a rather normal life with two parents and a younger brother from a fairly average household. She went to school, not popular or unpopular, had a few friends, and went to an ordinary college a few hours drive away from home. Continuing the same process there, not much excitement happened in her life till her younger brother joined her at university three years in. They weren't the closest growing up but they began to bond more once he lived with her in her apartment. Despite the fact he was eighteen and only three years younger than her, Jane had always felt the responsibility of being the older sibling; the responsibility of taking care of him and making sure he was safe. Two weeks ago, she failed. It was a Saturday night and her brother was going to stay in while she hung out with her friends. When she returned, she found him lying on the ground unconscious in a pool of his own blood coming from two puncture wounds on the side of his neck with blood smeared all over his mouth. But he was alive. However, before she could call him an ambulance, he awoke. Everything happened so quickly after that. He had gripped Jane by the throat and was choking her. He seemed to be intensely aware of everything: the pounding of the blood rushing beneath his fingertips, the smell of sweat that was coming out of every pore, his sister's strained breathing, the fear in her eyes. But the most prominent was the sweet smell of something he knew he'd have to cut open to get to. For a few moments all he could focus on was the two warring sides of his mind, one telling him to hurry up and crush the girl's throat in and splatter the beautiful liquid he was so desperately craving, the other reminding him that this was his sister he was suffocating. With immense willpower, he dropped the wheezing girl. Afraid of what he might do, the two agreed to keep him locked away in his room and his door blocked until they could figure out what was happening and who had done this to him. The plan didn't last long. A few hours later, Jane heard the breaking of glass coming from her brother's room and tried to get in. However, she didn't make it in time due to having to move all the heavy furniture they had used to barricade the door. Once she finally got in, he was gone and the window was broken. Jane isn't sure if he ran away or whoever had attacked him earlier had come back for him but all she knew was she had to find him. Despite knowing they wouldn't be of any help, the girl called the police and submitted a missing person's report. After that she went to her local church and requested to speak to the reverend in hopes of getting answers on whatever had hurt her brother. After the service, he pulled her aside and told her the stories of vampires. He didn't know much aside from how to hurt them and something called The Society which knew more about the monsters. Immediately after, Jane went to a hunting store and bought her two weapons before gathering all the money she had left and a picture of her brother and setting off to find someone from The Society to help her firstly find her brother and then change him back. Extra: Jane has been lost for the last two weeks, both mentally and emotionally. She has yet to actually run into a vampire, much less kill anything. And the bruises from her brother's grip are still visible on the sides of her neck.
