[@Robo27], [@Rogue Colm], and [@Gin], the next week I won't be showing up. But I would like to run a little test, if you guys don't mind. You don't have to participate if you don't want to so no pressure. Basically, I want you guys to create a short line or two describing what each alignment would do in this situation... No, Robo, this isn't because of how you play your character. I just want to see what other people would make those types of characters do for the situation. It's nothing for the roleplay, so like I said you don't have to participate. Either way, I would be greatly interested to see what you each come up with, so without further ado:
The City of Vortuge
Walking around the city, scum and villainy persist like none else. Cars being stolen left and right; gangs fighting over territory; local stores having 'late-fees' on 'payments' to said gangs; you think of the most nasty deed you can think of, and it exists here. In the middle of the night, things get worse. You thought they were bad already? Well, I'm sure you've heard of suicide bombers. Well, now imagine if those suicide bombers were immortal. Somehow, in some way, these people have found the answer to causing mass destruction by suicide, just without actually killing themselves. How is this even possible? Well, that's where you come in. I want you to find out the answer behind these immortal bombers, and report back with everything you possibly can. My entire fortune is waiting for you on your return with good news. The idea is that you've been hired by this person to find these immortal beings and return with the answer on how to become one of them. First, explain how the character would handle the interview. Would they ask for anything more(information, money, etc.)? What would they do about the employer(would they work for/kill him)? Next, assuming the immortality entices the character, or the character generally would do the job, what would be their first move? Where would they begin their search? What would they hope to gain? How would they go about it? Now, I said one or two, but really, get as creative as you want. Really, if you don't want to (I wouldn't; kind of feels like homework honestly), you don't have to. But I though about giving you guys something to keep you graciously occupied until my return. Have fun and Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays/Kwanzaa/Hanukkah/Have a nice day. Edit: Also, if the idea provided gives fruit to any GM's reading this, you are free to take the above idea and use it to fuel new roleplays. Just please give credit to me for the original copy.
