When Alex said they had finished and sent them over to the sword rack, she was rather relieved. Selecting an old Greek straight sword, she turned to Alex. "How about you and I do a little sparring?" she asked.

Madison tried to see what was going on in the class. "Looks like they've finished with Latin and they're moving on to swordfighting. I better join in, even though I'm not what you would call a front-line demigod. In fact, I've never picked up a sword before. Mom has me working on my healing magic. Still think I should at least be able to defend myself, though. Maybe we could work together?"
