I have more experience in the former, but am equally eager for both! I also have no qualms in FxM pairings for side characters!

[*]I am admittedly a stickler for language. Please avoid errors wherever possible!
[*]Sex/Smut is [i]not at all necessary[/i] for RPs. I would be fine with it, but if you would like to include graphic scenes of such nature, please be [u]of age/mature and comfortable[/u] with them. I can't promise to write drool-worthy erotica (more likely we will both end up giggling over my choice of terminology) but I promise not to overstep any boundaries you mention!
[*]Graphic scenes of [b]violence[/b] are fine with me, as long as it's not senseless gore!
[*]If PMing, tell me something about yourself too! (e.g. favourite music artiste/genre, food, drink etc) So I'll know you've read the rules

Mermaid^ x Pirate: A mermaid and pirate cross paths. Indubitably, coming from different worlds, they have much to learn from each other. But will they want to? That’s up to us to decide! 
Suggestion: This pirate is a member/captain of a ship that is reasonably prosperous. The mermaid belongs to a city of merpeople, which has had its environment threatened/harmed by the pirates above the surface bombing/digging up the top of their ancient city. During a seafaring accident, the pirate gets thrown off deck. The mermaid saves her from a watery death, but then leaves upon realising who this pirate is. The rest of the city learns about this, and urges the mermaid to make repeated contact with the pirate, hoping this will help advance ploys to stop the pirates. Though she is reluctant to, duty takes precedence, and the mermaid continues seeing the pirate in secret. Eventually, she forms unfamiliar emotions for the pirate, and everything becomes complicated.

Two boys living in the same town meet. One of them is shy and withdrawn, with a love for photography (^). He's boyish, and something of a geek in school. The other is...well, not quite as straight a line. He's the type of kid parents steer their daughters away from, warn their sons about. A rogue with a penchant for repairing motorbikes and riding them, he has deviated so far from the beaten path that he has his own gravitational field. And MC might just fall into it if he comes close enough to the devil.

Voldemort is dead. Has been for several decades now. Fear and insanity have loosened their grips on the wizarding world. Safety and peace have coddled the new generation of youths, and among them, two male students at Hogwarts who do not know each other well have their paths dovetail one day. (Perhaps the older one comes across the younger getting bullied in a quiet corridor, and intervenes?) The older one (^) is a rebellious, defiant, pure-blooded Slytherin who keeps to himself and appears for the most part surly and unpleasant. The younger one is – in comparison – sweet, and not quite a trouble-maker. They meet, and spend time together. In time, they become embroiled in a plot involving neo-Death Eaters [sub](please don't laugh; there was no better word for this)[/sub] who have infiltrated Hogwarts as fellow students, seeking to take down this new secure order in the name of a long-dead Dark Lord.
