[@Altered Tundra] Thanks again, and here he is! He stands at 6'1", tall for his age, and has a surfer's build. Add a cleft chin and the slight hint of a beard and mustache, and the result is a teenager most often described as "dreamy". A tattoo of a sea serpent attacking an old-fashioned pirate ship covers his upper back. He has a few scars, mostly from surfing accidents. Lysander prefers to leave his hair loose, just running a brush through it in the morning. However, he will occasionally pull it back in a ponytail, when he's working and needs to keep it out of his eyes. Anything other than that is not going to happen. Clothing Style: One would expect Lysander's clothing choices to lean towards blue and green beach clothing; they'd be wrong. He prefers purple and gold, for the most part, with the occasional bit of royal blue. He can usually be found in black jeans, a purple short-sleeved shirt, and a thin gold chain from which a horse head pendant dangles, with Converse hi-tops of black, purple, or blue as his preferred footwear.

Delving Deeper
Likes:

Swimming, surfing, diving... any active pastime that involves the ocean, really
Sketching
Battle strategy video games
Putting the fear of Poseidon into anyone who badmouths his mother
Italian food
Dislikes:

Being judged based on his parentage
People insulting his mother
Overly romantic movies
Stupid people
People with no sense of humor
Fears:

Flying
Dying for nothing
Losing his mother
Habits:

Whistling music from his games
Absentminded sketching
Playing with little bits of water
Personality: ♦ Loyal ♦ Chivalrous ♦ Snarky ♦ Violent Lysander is by nature a very loyal person. Once he befriends someone, he will stand by them to the best of his ability. As he was raised by a single mother, he was taught to be chivalrous, and to treat women well; as a result of this, he opens doors and pulls out chairs for them, and tries not to swear in front of them. However, he is also in possession of an unashamedly dry and snarky wit, and as a result of his parentage, once his anger is triggered, it is deadly. Background: Lysander's mother, Chrysanthe Halloran, is a hardworking artist, struggling to support herself and her son with her paintings. Her favorite subject to paint is the ocean, which is probably what caught Poseidon's eye; it was after a painting of the sea at storm that Poseidon visited for the first time. Poseidon's visits became more and more frequent as he grew intrigued with the mortal who captured his domain so well in paint. Chrysanthe, in turn, was very much attracted to this handsome stranger. It was shortly after her 24th birthday that Lysander was conceived. Poseidon was overjoyed. He was to have a son! But Amphitrite was not pleased. Whenever Chrysanthe entered the ocean, sharks would circle her menacingly, warring between the command of their queen and the respect due to their king's lover. They would stay until she left the sea, then return to their prior activities. Eventually, as the sharks swam closer, Chrysanthe left the sea and did not return, content to stay by the shore and paint. However, as Poseidon continued to visit, Amphitrite sent waves to try and wash away Chrysanthe and her house. Every time she failed. Her attempts did cause Chrysanthe to move inland, for the sake of her soon-to-be-born baby. So it was the Lysander was born far from the sea. Poseidon was there at the birth; he named the child and blessed him, then he had to leave. So Lysander grew up in a small forest home decorated with images of the ocean and its treasures. Poseidon's visits were few and far between; thus, the demigod knew him only as Mother's friend until his 17th birthday. Then, Poseidon revealed himself to his son as both the lord of the seas and his father. He gave Lysander his first weapon, a hand-and-a-half sword named Tyfónas (meaning hurricane), and sent him off to Olympus Academy. Extra: As stated before, Poseidon and Hestia are my favorite Greek gods.

Godly Information
Godly Parent: Poseidon - Earthshaker, Stormbringer, Father of Horses. Lord of the Seas and all that dwell within. Relationship With Godly Parent: Lysander's relationship with Poseidon is not exactly close; with Amphitrite displeased with her husband's infidelity, the sea god was not often able to visit his son. Whenever they meet, Lysander and Poseidon are polite, if somewhat distant. Godly Abilities: Hydrokinesis - as expected of a child of Poseidon, Lysander has the ability to manipulate water to his will. The more water he moves, the more concentration needed. He can also breath underwater. Finned Friends - Lysander can communicate with and ask favors of all who live in his father's domain; fish, sharks, whales, crabs, etc. Whether or not they obey him, however, is up to them. Stormbringer - like his father, Lysander can create and dissipate storms; however, this usually only happens when he's enraged. The angrier he is, the bigger the storm. This takes tremendous amounts of willpower and energy otherwise, and for the most part, he won't even attempt it. Blacking out after every summoned storm is not pleasant.
