Celeste

Celeste trotted towards the back of the pack, ears slightly lowered as she padded forward. Loosing her mother was still fresh in her mind and she was not completely at ease with all of these strange wolves yet. She was grateful they had taken her in as one of their own and didn't leave her wandering the wilderness by herself. If it had some to that she would have lasted longer than a human but still, her mother hadn't taught her how to hunt and she could have quickly starved. Or eaten by a bear or other predators hungry enough. The young pup was glad for her fur coat because though spring was well on its way, there was still snow on the ground and a bite in the air. As the group continued onward, Celeste wondered what their new home would be like. She had been told they were headed for an old mining settlement but she didn't know what that was or what it even looked like. Would there be enough room for them? Who would she stay with? Would there not be enough room and they decided she needed to leave? She had to forcefully shake her head. Momma always told her she had an overactive imagination and it ran away from her sometimes. Her ears drooped further at the thought and she sighed softly. Momma... Celeste had to force the tears away. No, she couldn't. Not right now. She needed to put on a brave face. At least until she was alone so she could cry without worrying anyone else. A butterfly suddenly fluttered in her line of vision and Celeste paused as the insect fluttered onto her nose. The pup paused and almost went cross-eyed from staring at the butterfly in awe. It flapped its wings a few times before taking off, Celeste watching its departure. She then continued walking. 'We should be there soon, in just a couple minutes I'd say.' Celeste sighed happily at Ambra's words; her paws had began to grow tired. Soon they were arriving at their destination. The pup looked around, seeing that there were ten small cabins and her worry about there being enough room rushed back though she pushed it away. She trotted into the clearing then padded curiously over to one of the cabins, sniffing the ground around it.
