Ethan choked when the old man gripped his arm. When he saw the rage and sadness in the fellow's eyes, he knew he wouldn't be able to keep the wrench, the man looked too...emotional. Suddenly, there was a series of deafening booms and lightning arced across the sky and into the city. Ethan was shocked when it all shot towards them. He thought for sure it would hit him and he would fry, he probably deserved it. But the old man turned to stone. Ethan gaped at the statue, perfect down to the smallest detail. He had to look away, the emotion on the man's face was devastating. Ethan snatched the pink gem in front of the old man. He would fix this, if he could. Another old man shouted about getting inside the wall. Ethan nodded firmly, and then yanked his hand. Which was stuck. He sighed and reached inside his coat, fingering a sigil. He imagined the look of elation on the old man's face when he fixed everything. He appeared next to the older man on the trolley. He looked at the man, and grinned wickedly. "This should be interesting, eh? I hope these folks are capable as you old timer."
