Year: Year 4, but with high expectation to reach Year 6 in the next year and a half. Ranking Class: Warlock Magic: Naturalis - Chronos Disruption Passed down through the generations of the Quantus house was the ability to distort and alter temporal fields. Each heir to the house has a variant of this ability in which they specialise, though all follow the basic premise. Chronos Distortion is the ability to distort and change time around a fixed point of the mages choosing. The amount of distortion that can be caused is in linked with the area being distorted, and can therefore be limiting in some applications. The ability itself has multiple primary functions, each of which can be used at any given time, or at the same time. The ability can be used to revert something back to its previous state in its timeline (eg, closing a wound), force something into a future state in its timeline (eg, making a wound more severe), or cause it to progress slower along its timeline (eg, slow something's growth). By using all applications of this ability, it may be possible to bring someone back to life, but no one has ever tried.
Temporal presence is my way of describing a person or objects presence in time. It can be how they move through time, how they interact with time, or how they affect a time stream or time line. A person moving through time is, of course, someone going in a continual constant through a certain timeline. How they interact is how they may alter or create branches within a timeline, causing parallel universes. And how they affect a timeline or timestream is how their constant could be affected through any means. If Edgar were to, say, slow your physical nature down to a halt, or begin reversing it through time, that he would be altering you time stream in a certain way. If he were to alter your timeline, it would change that timeline specifically and cause a parallel branch to occur, with the effects decided by the GMs. If he alters your Temporal Presence as a whole, then he completely alters you within time, which could lead to dire effects (such include erasal from time, possible destruction of reality, some minor dinks in the ole' chronometer, etcetera). Holding a person still and holding a persons temporal presence still are the same thing, but are slightly different. If he were to hold them in time, he would be affecting that precise moment and continual moments, decided by him (light chronos locks). If he were to hold your temporal presence completely still, it would prevent you from flowing through time for all continuous events from then forth. It would, in a sense, completely exclude you from time. If the universe were to implode, you wouldn't be affected.
Strengths: The ability is surprisingly diverse, and its applications are more or less endless. As well, all applications of the ability can be used simultaneously (eg, forcing a plant to the same state it was a day ago, then forcing it to grow slower). Edgar has quite a large mana pool, but can opt for alternate methods of casting if needs be. He can use the mana used previously be deconstructing a distortion, or he can deconstruct the temporal fields in their entirety for more casting options. The latter, however, is less preferred due to its unpredictable nature and side effects. Weaknesses: The larger an area being affected by the ability, the less time can be changed within its timeline. As well, when closing a wound, eventually the wound will open again, and be twice as bad. Therefore the ability is only really a temporary solution to wounds. Catalyst: Edgar has two tattoos etched into his hands, each one different to the respective hand. On the right is the symbol for time, a strange cog looking symbol with one of the protrusions replaced with a pointed looking edge. On the left the symbol for space, an X, but with all the lines heading out curved like a DNA spiral. Inventory: Edgar carries around two daggers made of Starsteel, a rare material that glows in moonlight forged by a powerful alchemist contracted by the Quantus family. As well, he has 5 other daggers, smaller and made of dragonscale, hidden on his person. Familiar: No familiar as of current, but he is looking to acquire one in the near future. Squad Name: Personality: I’m gonna leave this empty, simply because I want to play the character off a whim and how I want him to play, rather than be fixed to a personality. Backstory: Edgar Quantus, or Nine as referred to by his siblings, was born into the prestigious family of Quantus as their ninth heir. People knew the family well, as it was the only known family to have every generation of heirs use time magic. The family took pride in that fact, and expected great things from every heir to be born. Each heir had their own type of time magic, and therefore split into different divisions that they would follow to become the head of the family. Some took off to be scholars, some adventurers, others warriors, but Edgar chose a different path. Edgar followed the path of the assassin, and chose to head the stealth and assassination division of the family. His magic, and family connections, allowed him immediate access to the most prestigious magic academy, as his family would have nothing else, and he soon enrolled into Lesirenna. On his twelfth birthday, his family contracted a powerful alchemist to construct a new material, a metal as strong as diamond, that could be sharpened like steel and would glow in the moonlight. And so the man did, and the first Starsteel blades were constructed and gifted to the young assassin, along with 5 other daggers forged from dragonscales. (Sorry if the background is a bit shit… He really hasn't had anything interesting happen in his life other than entering Lesiranna and acquiring the blades. He is asexual, and his parents don't want to force marriage onto him. He is an excellent assassin and his kills almost always go to plan. He doesn't have a familiar, and his magic has only been getting stronger… I guess that's it xD)

"What do you mean "I'm not your type"? You don't even *hick* know me..."
Name: Synth Kane (at least, thats the alias he goes by. His real name is Joseph Drake, but nobody knows that). Nicknames/Titles: The Watcher Age: 35 Gender: Male Race: Half human, half Fallen Angel. He hates his split race, so he keeps it a secret. Sexuality: Heterosexual Class: Pythones - Uses of spirits inside and out of combat Runic Language - Runes and their meanings Contritio - Physical shadows Praestigiae - The use of darkness to alter the mind Ranking Class: Necromancer Class Magician, Illusionist Class Magician, Destructive Class Magician Magic: Contritio: Encompassing Darkness - This magic allows him to physically manifest shadows, and in most cases control them. He can mould them into solid objects, like weapons or structures, but he can also physically possess them by fracturing his mind into several pieces, each taking hold of a single shadow and using that to fight. Pythones: Abyssal Spectres - By summoning the variety of spirits located in the abyss, Synth can produce a variety of effects. From sealing energy away, to causing immense pain, etcetera. Praestigiae: Shadow Phantasm - With this magic, Synth alters a persons mind to become constantly paranoid, and see shadow beings everywhere they go. As the persons mental state slowly unwinds, the shadows become a much more regular thing, and become incredibly vivid. After about a week of losing their mind to the magic, the person falls into a coma from which they can only escape by slaying 3 of the creatures; a feat not so easily achievable since they spent a week scared and paranoid of them. Also, most people don't have a strong enough will to break from his Shadow Phantasm, making it almost inescapable. Strengths: Both his Praestigiae and Pythones do not need darkness to use, unlike his Contritio, which makes them versatile despite their alignment. As well, all of his magic can be used from a distance, which makes them extremely easy to use without being seen, or discretely. Weaknesses: His Contritio magic requires something to be casting a shadow for use. Whether it be a light, fire, the moon, it doesn't matter. Shadow Phantasm can easily be shaken by attacking the creatures, so anyone with enough will to fight the paranoia and fear can break free. His Pythones requires some kind of evil presence to be used, though an evil thought, action or being will do it. Catalyst: All across Synth's body are about 15000 tiny runes that he carved into himself using his spirit magic. The runes enhance his magic power, his affinity with shadows, but also some of his senses. They cannot be seen, however, because they are all still inhabited by the spirits that carved them, making them invisible. Inventory: A butterfly knife, a revolver, his phone, and a small purple crystal. Familiar: He had a familiar, one he had had since he was a teen, but it died a year after joining the school (as a student, not as a teacher. Though he has been teaching for 5 years now). Squad Name: -- Pesonality: Same with Edgar, I'm gonna play him how I feel. Backstory: Nobody actually knows his past, all except maybe the headmaster... Actually, no, I'll tell you some stuff. When Synth was 10, he was possessed by an abyssal spirit of strange power. He, however managed to fight and forced it to submit to his will. The spirit has all but subsided, but he still clings to the last bit of power left, which is what he uses to cast magic. It was that last shred of power that allowed him to carve the runes into himself, and the reason why he can still cast magic.
