The phoenix couldn't help but jump slightly at her roommate's enthusiastic entrance. After practically kicking down the door, the cheerful woman jumped to the right of the goddess, introducing herself loudly and occupying some of Iravis' precious bed space. After a moment for recovery, the red haired girl scooted over to the bed's left side, sitting herself up against the wall. The phoenix knew she had to meet them eventually, and making a hostile first impression was a bad idea. With more distance between them, the Goddess began to observe this cheerful hellion. Well hellion is more accurate than I thought. This girl's a demon. Seeing her adorned in classic black and white, the Phoenix was at least comfortable that they wouldn't accidently confuse their wardrobes. "I'm Iravis. The pleasure is mine." _______ "Hehe, nice to meet ya Iravis." She replied cheerfully immediately after the other girl introduced herself. The demon sat up on the bed, leaning towards the other girl. She was probably invading Iravis' personal space just a tiny bit, but she seemed oblivious to the fact. "I'm Lyssa, but just all me Lys! My last name is a mouth full, so I'm not even gonna bother. They didn't even spell it on the dorm sheet." She leaped off the bed with the same energy she had leaped onto it with, just now taking a look around the room. Well, it could be worse. The only glaring issue she saw with it, was that there was no place to hide her snacks and no video game consoles. Or a computer. Like, how was she supposed to live without a computer? Oh sweet lord she hoped they had Wi-Fi in this place. But that was for later. "Hey hey!" She said, quickly spinning on her heel, back around to Iravis. "So what do you like to do for fun?" She questioned. "I was thinking the three of us roommates could go do something since it's our first day here. Well, my first day anyways! I've never been here before." _______ Iravis calmed down a little when the hellion backed off leaped off the bed. "I think it would be wise for us to wait for the other roommate before deciding if we should head out." The phoenix lifted up a book about herself, shaking it next to her head. "I try to learn from the past." To be honest, she had never met someone quite this bubbly, and she couldn't resist asking a question back. "And what would you do for fun?" ____________ "Oh right. They're not here yet." Lys replied, idly playing with her tail as she quietly chuckled. "Got ahead of myself there, didn't I?" Learn from the past? She didn't entirely know what that was supposed to mean...but that book didn't look like it'd be any fun to read. But well, she wasn't really one much for reading in the first place. "Hmm...me? Let's see....play video games, hang out with people, eat sweets, play video games, meeting new people. Ah...a lot of stuff." She hummed. "Swimming, climbing trees, messing with people sometimes! Just harmless little pranks, though. Most of the time I like to practice my magic. But eh, hehe, it can get a little destructive and practicing it can be troublesome. Last time I did I accidentally brought down a three story building. Heh, oops." ________ Iravis listened to the other girl half-heartedly, but couldn't resist releasing a small grin upon hearing the end to the woman's tale. In her past lives, the Phoenix was familiar with "accidently" setting a town on fire during a battle. The goddess had to admit this put a few embers of curiosity in her soul. "So what sort of magic allows you to 'accidently' bring down a third story building, hmmm?" It would be important to know the abilities of her roommates so that she could handle the two. ________ "Oh oh, that's easy! I'm an Alchimist!" She replied with a grin, before leaning forward, holding a finger to Iravis' face. "And just hold that thought. You're thinking alchimists create stuff, not destroy stuff, hmm? Well you are wrooooong. Well, kind of. They do do that mostly." She smiled with a small giggle. She took another step back, looking for something she could show her an example with that wouldn't harm the structural integrity of the building. Hmmm...ah! Her dorm list. That'd do. She reached into her pocket, taking out the sheet of paper. "See this piece of paper?" She held the paper in front of Iravis'. "Sure ya do? Annnnd-" As she spoke, the paper suddenly almost seemed to disintegrate. Tiny pieces of paper floated to the ground, leaving nothing remaining of the previous dorm arrangements. "Poof, gone! How'd I do that? Well, I broke down the Cellulose fibers by separating the chemical bonds between them, basically turning it into little tiny specks~!" She seemed to be quite proud of her accomplishments, and was wearing quite a big grin. "So yeah, I have to be careful with it." She chuckled sheepishly. "If I don't focus, or designate what exactly I'm deconstructing, I could accidentally make a giant hole in an apparently important support column. But I do have to know what the chemical or elemental make up of what I'm deconstructing is, though." _______ Iravis couldn't resist raising an eyebrow at the cheerful one's response. Apparently her initial assessment of the demon was wrong. She was cheerful, and probably naïve to the ways of the world, but Lyssa was by no means stupid. The goddess couldn't help but be pleasantly surprised, her eyes widening slightly as the demonstration occurred. A few seconds after her roommate finished speaking Iravis responded in a slightly higher pitch than normal. "Seems that you have some talent." But now that the phoenix had learned what she wanted, Iravis tried to avoid starting another conversation. This girl exposed far too much information and simply rambled when asked a question, which annoyed the goddess. They were roommates, yes, but not best friends. But walking out at this point would probably be rude, and the phoenix didn't seek to make enemies. So the goddess used the full force of her divine will to bless the demon with a smile. ______ Lyssa smiled broadly at the praise. "I'm also a pretty good martial artist. My dad doesn't like magic a whole lot, so he taught me." She finished, before giving Iravis' a curious look. "So what about you? What kind of magic can you do?" _______ "A magician never reveals her secrets." Iravis' released a mischievous grin towards the poor demon. Being clever, even if only a little, was always a pastime for the goddess. Before either could reply though, the Phoenix suddenly started to feel this fire build in her chest, which meant one of two things. Either there was an extremely large fire in the area, or a powerful pyromancer was approaching. Given the lack of smoke, the Goddess decided she had a visitor. Bless this man for releasing me from this place. The red haired girl hopped off the bed, brushed past the hellion, and opened the door before the pyromancer on the other side could knock. "Pleased to see you, Mr. Wick."
