Edgar Quantus "He has 73ywygf7st, can't you see? Look, its there, the pattern. To think, our own son would have jqweafy682... Fetch an alchemist, and have him make the strongest blade he can. I want it to glow in the moonlight, and this boy... My son, Edgar. I want him sent to Liseranna! He will do well there." Edgar stepped past people, walking through the crowd gathered inside the courtyard in which the Directors speech - at least, mostly speech - would be held. There were many new faces, a lot more than usual in fact, but there were also older faces; ones he knew, or ones he had only seen. All from different walks of life, all in different years, with different magic, different specialities and different abilities. They were all oddities waiting to be explored, all plants waiting to be nurtured, and most were but babies waiting to be taught. Each had a single defining feature, being that they all had unexplored potential that could be grown into a great flower, or force, or inferno, or energy. It was what let them into the school after all, the untapped potential of a young Mage in training, or that of a developing Mage still in growth, or even that of a fully developed Mage past their years at school - everyone had some hidden potential that needed only to be explored and understood to be released. Most found that hard however, having brains only of humans, or Elves, or Dwarves, or the Fallen or the Devils. A brain that still only understood that of the single plane they existed on, a plane so devoid of interesting things, yet so interesting at the same time. Where was he going with that thought? The Director had already begun talking, and though the sensation of him talking directly into ones mind was a bit weird, it wasn't exactly new. Most of the stuff he said was boring stuff he had heard before, but the whole dorm arrangements thing was pretty new; well, to Edgar at least. He reached into the closest pocket he had, and brought out a folded piece of paper, written onto it his dorm for the year. 1st Male Dorm Arrengement

Edgar Quantus
Richard Dowel
Richard Dowel? That wasn't a name he had heard of, or at least a name he didn't THINK he had heard. Memory wasn't exactly his strongest suit, so names and faces were often misplaced or lost entirely. The Director, whom had concluded his speech, pulled out a handkerchief and tossed it to the side, and everyone turned to it. Everyone in the courtyard turning their heads and focusing on one thing, all at onces. The guy was a sneaky bastard, that was for definite. But at least he was an eccentric, mostly fun bastard. "I hate that trick... Honestly, he should really stop using simple tricks and do something cool..." why did the guy always insist on using such small tricks, instead of, say, using his extensive magical power to disappear? People might actually have been interested, but he still decided on simple things.
Edgar followed on with everybody who was filtering from the courtyard, and began making his way to the boys dorm. Whoever the Richard character was, he hoped that he was at least decent. They were to be room-mates, which meant they were going to have to like each other, willing or otherwise. If they didn't, well, he guessed it was tough shit. The Director sure wasn't gonna change anything, unless... No, he couldn't use that for an excuse. Not unless things got really bad. He arrived at the door to the room a short while later, taking his time to view the school once again. The place was crisp and sheen, and pretty futuristic looking thanks to all the white walls that adorned quite a lot of the place. Somehow, the people who made this school had a pretty good idea of what we might be looking for in a modern magical school. Maybe it was foresight, maybe just intuition, but they did a good job. Knocking slightly on the door just to alert anyone inside of his presence, Edgar stepped into the room, and immediately looked upon his room-mate with a slightly downed face. "Ah, damn. I was hoping to get here a bit before you. Well, I guess thats the way things are going when sightseeing, even slightly." he said, looking around the room that he would be living in for the next year or so. It was pretty simple, and had a bunkbed (which looked kind of out of place) a desk, two chairs, and a door leading off to a bathroom. It was true that the headmaster liked messing with people in slight ways, but a bunkbed? That just seemed a little... Well, off, even for his standards, which was a stretch. "Well then, I suppose we should get formalities out of the way to start with. I'm Edgar Quantus, Naturalis Mage, Age 16, Year 4." [@Natsu]
