Cal chows down on his third burger of the morning, finding that he seems to have a gaping black hole for a stomach. As he eats he looks at his watch and his eyes widen. He is late for a fluids check in some old mansion....apparently there was a drug dealer squatting in it or something. With a panic rush he finishes his burger, pays and runs. His dinosaur of a flip phone beeps as his boos texts him asking where he is. This causes him to run faster, his red and white high top converse taking him as fast as he can go. His whole outfit screaming high school...or college kid, with his deep blue jeans, white t shirt, bright red hoodie, and grey beanie he certainly doesn't seem to be the forensics guy for the police of his town that he is. As he barrels down the street he stops, back tracks, gets and pays for a hot dog and keeps running. Eating and running as he goes. As he makes a turn, eventually the town seems to fade into more open spaces, then a rather large abandoned looking mansion comes within his view. He waves at his boss who sighs and opens the door so Cal can run in and stop. "Hey boss, did i miss anything?" His boss sighs again. "Kid, you need a car" Cal grins and shakes his head. "Why get a car when I have my own two feet?" His boss rolls his eyes, he treats Cal like an adopted son, finding that he liked the kid...even if Cal was a pain in his rear. His boss waves him over to the stuff that the officers had found, some liquid on the floor that looked like blood along with some drugs that they didn't recognize. "Hey boos, mind if i look around? I want to make sure your guys didn't miss anything" His boss shrugs. "Sure, but ill be headed out, Maggie wants to grab lunch with me" Cal nods. "Tell her I said hi...oh and thanks for letting me bunk with you." His boss shrugs. "Cant have the forensics guy sleeping on the streets." Cal nod and waves with a smile before heading upstairs, something was pulling him up there...but he didn't know what. Curiosity getting the best of him he pulls out the miniature flashlight he kept in his pocket and heads up the stairs. It seemed like every other step whined with protest at him stepping on them. A fine layer of dust coating the railing. He starts inspecting the rooms finding nothing much besides old mattresses, a rat, and a bat that had nearly smacked him in the face. He can't explain it but he felt like he needed to keep searching. He ends up finding the steps to the attic. "Well....i don't think I'm in a horror movie, and no creepy music is playing....and there definitely isn't anyone screaming telling me not to go in there" He shrugs. "So here we go" Putting the flashlight in his mouth he pulls down the stairs and heads up. Once up there he uses the flash light to look around and spots an old looking painting. "Hey neat...wonder who lived here before" He walks over to it and brushes off the dust on the plaque. He gives it a rather confused face. "Touch to enter....nothing weird about that at all" He touches it, finding himself pulled through it to the other end. He 'falls' onto spongy green grass, the brightness after the darkness of the mansion leaving him to sit there blinking. Before losing it. "WHAT THE HECK" he finds himself sitting there freaking out a bit. "freaky magic painting...freaky magic painting"....he should get over this soon. When he was pulled through his beanies was left behind...leaving his pointed ears visible.
