There are many ways to go around this problem (and if you indeed ARE going through this debate in PM, sorry for the bother but I'd lack such information to make other deductions than this seems stale)
If it makes your hearts any warmer Co-GM has the same rights as GM over anybody else really (as far as I know) but can(?) be got rid of if need be (not to insulst or otherwise down value [@Iatos])
