[@Dinh AaronMk] I do plan only to involve myself in North America and the Caribbean. I hope to make a deal with the nations on the Mississippi to secure a stable supply of wheat to Bermuda via the FSA constituent state of the Bahamas. The Azores, Madeira, and the Canaries, which will likely not feature in the RP (since it's supposed to be confined to continental North America anyway) are presumably supplied from European sources, but I shan't even consider the details of that for fear of dragging the RP into a trans-Atlantic one. I already discussed the whole 'Amazon' thing with the GM, and we both agree that it won't happen within the timeframe of the RP. Trade will be largely confined to two main routes: - Bermuda directly to the American mainland, and thence either north to Nova Scotia or south down the former US coast. - Bermuda directly to the Bahamas, and thence into the greater Caribbean region or along the coast of Florida to the mouth of the Mississippi. Anything other than that is too far and dangerous, as you say. However, as an island, Bermuda has devoted more time and resources to making sea travel viable than the continental powers, counterbalanced by the weakness of the army.
