Correct. TTL places significant emphasis on each author creating characters, as that's a big part of each challenge. We maintain the same rules about crediting your source, however if you would prefer to write an [b]original[/b] work utilizing characters from an existing franchise, you may do so. All things are welcome and winning is up to the voters and the individual judges.
