I think we should do this Civ style and start at the beginning and progress with tech and such. I'd love a dash (or excess) of magic although it isn't necessary.
I could start off with that sort of idea. I will admit to never having played the Civ series (I may purchase said game with the remainder of my Christmas Cash), and as such I am slightly unaware of that progression. Realistically, because each turn is a season and each round a year, we would need to decide on a rough outline of how long before we change setting. Ideally, the game would not drag on so long that it would be impossible to experiment. It is also a possibility that I may go for the approach of "four/five/six) days is a year, and each post is a season". Thus, there is a penalty for unwarned absence and the game moves at a regular pace. Of course, each post should be sent as a PM to me before I release them in a conglomerate. Thus, each player can write a literary accompaniment with knowledge of the results.
