[@Abefroeman] There might be a chance that if there's sugars left they could ferment and turn to alcohol. But even cutting fuel with ethanol to make a blend poses a risk. There was a time where I went to fuel up at a small gas-station near where I work. I ended up parked next to a E35 or some-level pump waiting for lady in a mini-van to finish fueling up so I can slide in. Seeing me, and the car I drive (2004 Crown Victoria) she asked me if I was going for the Ethanol stuff because she was sure that my engine may not be able to take it. I told her no, I was waiting on her. So there's also a chance that some engines may take some alternative fuels worse than others but that a field I know even less about. It's something I'll throw out to encourage thought for how it'd be treated in world and if certain quartermasters or those in charge would encourage, discourage, or even allow for vehicle assets to be thrown out at certain times. A lot of things are more fragile than they seem.
