Zephyr figured there would be some spell in place to keep them from sleeping, how else were they supposed to hold the sphere for such a long time? Unless that was the point, that they became so good at magic control they could hold the sphere in their sleep. He wasn't sure, but Zephyr didn't want to dwell on it, so he found himself a nice area of the room and started on making his sphere. He figured working on speed would be the better option to start with than duration. That way if he ever lost it he could just make it again nice and easy. He was excited to get training his magic, and after a couple of minutes made his sphere, it was orange. Interesting. He made it disappear then tried again and again until he could get the time down as low as he could.

The master would look to Grace "I knew what you was thinking of back in the class room about what you seen happen to another boy" he states "I need to know how stable your head is, I cannot have a risk that can kill everyone else" he says narrowing his eyes.

It would take a good long while before they would start to show good progress, but it was clear it would take a few days before they could hope to get close to what he wanted them to do.

Liz moved away from the others. She wasn't sure what her magic could do but she didn't want to risk hurting anyone. She focused on making a sphere. She managed to make one the size of a penny. It wasnt very impressive. But it was a start. She held the small sphere as long as she could. She was proud when she made it five minutes. OK now she had her starting point. She could build up from there.

Bristle permitted himself a small grin. He was doing alright. He could make it fast now. With a thought. Sphere up, sphere out. It only took around a second to create it. Bristle held it for a second and left it vanish, creating and re-creating it nearly at will. The cost was insubstantial because Bristle was more or less using the same piece of magic, over and over again. It was nearly trivial just to bring it out for a second at this point. What was he working on next? Duration. Eh that sounded like work, this was way more fun.

Alex struggled to keep the sphere basketball sized at first but after a while he was able to shape it and keep it in that shape for a few seconds before it would dissipate. It took him a few more tries to keep the sphere in his hand more than a few seconds and as time went on. He was able to keep the sphere longer in his hand. I wonder if mom and grandpa had this hard of a time as I do Alex thought before he took a deep breath and kept the sphere in his hand.

after an hour the master would call all the students over. "Alright that'll be it for training today, you are allowed free reign to do as you wish now, well besides of 'testing' things in magic like I've stated before. You can wonder around, find your rooms and everything. Your rooms will have all of your stuff besides your previous clothes." he tells them "Dinner will be within 4 hours from now, a path will reveal itself when it's time." he states "Now do as you wish."

Liz wasn't sure what to do. Having a choice was sort of new to her. She frowned. She wanted to get to know the others. But she was still feeling shy. Maybe she would do that later. She could practice some more or put sway her things. She wanted to see her room but thst could wait. She needed to practice. She went back to practicing trying to make her sphere bigger and last longer.

"Free time?" Zephyr stood up and had himself a big stretch, he was so focused on his magic he totally didn't realize his legs were sore from sitting so long. As the others started to get up, he noticed Liz was still practicing her magic. He walked up to her, purposely making his steps hard and heavy so he didn't startle her, he had a bad habit of walking to quietly. "Um, hey, Liz?" He paused a moment looking at her, "you don't have to keep practicing. I'm sure everyone is going to explore, why don't you join us?"

Bristle let the orb die out with a small warble. Free time now? He wasn't sure that that word was in the master's vocabulary. Well whatever, free time was good time. It was a shame he couldn't mess around with magic more without the risk of turning himself inside out. Which would be an interesting experience, but painful and likely fatal. Two things that Bristle didn't like very much. "Cya nerds." he said casually and walked out, only stumbling slightly when he found his legs were somewhat weaker than he expected. Naturally he went to find his old clothes, he needed to retrieve his toys and... other things. Even a wizard had locked doors right? And locked doors usually had something exciting behind them!

Mecca let the ball dissipate as she stood and stretched. With decent length strides she left the room and stepped into the hall. She glanced around before setting off to the left, maybe, possibly in the right direction of where her room might be. At least she hoped it was the direction of the room. She would probably end up desperately lost.

Alex Stretched when the Master told them they could take a break. Alex wondered if the castle had a library in it and if it had some good reading material in it. He figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask.

“So if I may ask Sir: this place has a library right?” Alex asked before he continued, “Nothing in magic books, but more in Science fiction and the like. More like War of the Worlds kind of books. Oh, maybe even Project Nemesis? I’ve wanted to read that one for a while.” Maybe I can check out a few other books as well. I'm going to be here for a while and I highly doubt there's a TV here Alex thought.

The Home would be huge, at some points there would for some reason be maps on the walls with a 'you are here' spots like you'd see in a mall. the place would be gigantic, though each section would be labeled appropriately. a note would be on the bottom of this "I made this because I was sick of apprentices asking directions". the place would have pretty much anything they could imagine, though there would be some rooms that have the word 'Forbidden' marked under them. the Key would say if the room has 'forbidden' then apprentices are not allowed into the area until said otherwise.

Liz blushed shyly when Zephyr approached her. She didn't know what to say. She had never been good with people. "I know I don't have to practice but.... She hadn't thought that they would want her to hang out with them. She was the quiet shy type. She wasn't use to be included in a group. She wasn't sure that she knew how to be a part of a group. But she didn't want to miss this chance. She nodded. "If you're sure that you want to include me in exploring this place. I would like to join you."

"Why wouldn't I include you in exploring the place?" Zephyr tilted his head to the side unconsciously, "I mean, we're both students here. So we're also going to be friends, right?" He looked around quickly and noticed the others had left already, "I'm guessing everyone went to try and find their rooms." He gave her a warm smile and held out his hand, "Come on, we can do that then try and figure out what else is in this huge building."

"I don't know. No one has ever included me before. You want to be my friend? I've never had a friend. I am not sure how we can find our rooms but I guess that is a good place to start." Liz told him softly. She wasn't used to being noticed. She wanted to be friends but she had never really had a friend before. She didnt know how to go about making a friend. She took the hand Zephyr offered her. She was glad he had wanted to include her.

Mecca stopped in front of one of the maps and traced her figer over the path from where she was to the bedrooms. Satisfied with her choice of parh she set off in the direction she had decided was right.

the master nodded "of course.. I tend to read all kinds of books.. just pay attention to the maps and you shouldn't need to ask me anything" he states "That's entire reason why I put them up" he says and walks off disappearing.

"Sweet, so I just follow the maps," Alex said before he wondered something else, "I wonder if the library is enchanted and all you have to do is think of the book and it would fly to you?" Alex wondered this while he followed the maps instructions to find the library.

He led them through the corridors, not even noticing he was still holding her hand. After a few minutes of wandering he said, "alright, I didn't want to do this but I think we should use one of these maps to find our rooms. This may take forever otherwise," he let go of her hand and took a closer look at the map that was placed where they stopped. "Okay, now which way do we have to go...."

Liz wasn't a great map reader. She had only read a couple in school. She tilted her head. "I'm not sure that I was given a room number. But this here says student rooms. I suppose we can start there. Do you know if they gave you information on the rooms?" She didn't have that much information. Most of it had gotten lost when she was hidding the paperwork from her father. There was no telling how much she lost and who much still mixed with her stuff.
