On noticing that as well I don't think a nation as small as Jefferson could naturally supply the fuel needed to supply an Essex class destroyer as well as maintain an economy.

Double-checking the ship list the cruisers and destroyers might probably be the only reasonably usable machines since they're small ships Submarines feel like something that might not able to sailed out. The aircraft carrier - no matter how old and how much of a museum it was - is pretty pointless in the setting as well. By an extension the submarines too.

That's not to mention that at the end of the day these things will basically be a platform for small arms fire.

Still, the original points I laid out I feel are relevant, but nothing I would deny it over. They're more notices for things to consider.
