The words she spoke triggered something in his head. 
Frustrated he tried to shake it away.
As the sound of her steps faded he crawled off the bed and cautiously sleeked along the floor towards the opening.
Low and silent on all fours.
The nearer he got the slower he moved.

Spooked by a sudden noise he hastily retreated to his wall.
That sweet voice filled his head as he closed his eyes and balanced between rest and panick.
