[@BilboTheGreat] There are 200,000 legal weapons in The Netherlands, regions with the most weapons are the provinces where hunting is populair, which excludes our starting point for the most part. Then also a lot of those 200,000 legal weapons are owned by members of a shooting range so to speak, they often own multiple weapons. Hence a lot of those weapons would be distributed amongst them. Then there's also illegal weapons, which is in the 100,000 range by estimates. The most common weapons, would be pistols/revolvers. I am uncertain of the placement of automatic rifles, though i'd place hunting rifles above them in terms of how common they would be. Though the influence of the unknown illegal arms complicates that some what. (Figured that might be useful information.)
