MAJESTY It was a simple name - 'Majesty', the moniker given to a constantly evolving, multidimensional well of constant change. No one knows where the genesis of Majesty began, but its existence goes without question, because people have seen it. They continue to see it. Perhaps a level of consciousness inconceivable by any mortals, Majesty developed a will of its own, and soon enough, it began to call out. But to whom? Those whom knew the din of battle. Whom had, for one reason or another claimed a life. And sure enough, Majesty demanded blood, but not for free. For he or she who emerged from its limitless realms as the lone survivor of the bloodshed was offered renown and power the world over would envy. And again, it demanded blood. It demands again for a king to be crowned. LET'S GET IT ON!
Judges are myself, [@Shawdus] and any approved/mandated/accepted judges within the arena. Participants may request personal judges as well, but they must be mutually agreed upon. 1: No Godmod. No metagaming, reality bending, character control, invulnerability, lightspeed, autohit, etc. etc. etc. 2: No use of OP character abilities. This is subjective and will be determined on a case by case basis. 3: This tournament will be mild powers. This is a step above Realistic Melee, but does not allow the vast and extra-abstract powers common in Powered combat. To help frame exactly where MP lies, examples have been given below. Examples of allowed powers: elements, chi, magic, light, gravity, shadows, psionics, weapon techniques, etc Examples of disallowed powers: no manipulation on a quantum level, teleportation, planar attacks, black holes, reality manipulation, etc. 4: Posting time limit is 3 days(72 hours), and failure to post within that limit will be treated as a forfeit. You should also inform your opponent upon posting a reply so they can post in a timely manner. Exceptions and extensions can be made from outstanding circumstances however this should not be abused. 5: First poster will set the scene and therefore setting in their post. This setting is up to the posters imagination and discretion, or can be mutually agreed upon. The setting cannot offer an automatic handicap to someone that starts them with an unfair advantage unless the setting was agreed upon beforehand. 6: Any information not on your character sheet at the time the match starts or not stated in your introduction post is completely invalidated, and cannot be used within the confines of the battle itself. Being caught doing so will result in instant disqualification. 7: Healing is allowed, but there is a cap. Deeper and more debilitating wounds will take longer to heal. Severed limbs will take even longer, if possible at all. This rule can be case specific, and will handled as such. 8: All attacks must cover distance. This means a wind user cannot immediately crush/freeze an opponent with the wind directly around them, or having a sword immediately appear in someone's face. The closest any attack can manifest to another opponent is 6(because I dont want to use five for virtually no reason) feet.
I'm looking for a small group of fighters, anywhere from 6 to 10 contestants, including myself(I will not be judging my own matches, of course) to run this little experiment I've been cooking up the last several days. Signing up is as simple as posting the sheet of the character you'll be joining with! Edit: I am open to suggestions and questions, and Id like to discuss perhaps making this an IC event.
