[@NuttsnBolts] Mhmm, Akira is a another good one if you enjoy Neo-Tokyo exploding and the like. xD And well personally I was never a fan of the Dredd comic books but the newest movie was pretty rad. To answer your questions about cybernetics. Cybernetic augmentations for humans exist and have developed far beyond the prosthetic we currently have today. "Cyber-Limbs" are a common occurrence and many people use them to increase their skills and abilities everything from eyes with built in night vision and video recorders to legs that can crush a man's chest with the force of a hydraulic press. The only real problem is the risk of becoming a so called "C-Freak" basically since these augmentations link up directly to the brain eventually the brain becomes overloaded with stimuli and information and you snap and become a ravenous psychotic murder. The only way to combat the unset symptoms of becoming a C-Freak is to take a drug called Neurotop. Problem is Neurotop besides being highly addictive it is also very pricey to produce. Meaning that Corps are usually the ones that have possession of the drug to keep their armies of cybered up robocops from snapping and murdering them instead of the other guy. Neurotop can be found on the streets very rarely where it is marked up at about 1000x the market price and when the drug already costs a small relative fortune, meaning that unless you try and rob a Neurotop facility (which would be highly suicidal, since they have some of the best security in the world and even if you do make it out they will hunt you down and find you) most of the common day man has to continually play the game of will this next aug be the one that makes me snap? [@Zenphilvian] Well in terms of metastability that really depends on how much you are paying. Some higher levels bots and AIs can last about the range of a single human lifetime maybe even more but the cheaper ones will start seeing issues maybe after around five years. This is of course if you don't do a procedural mind wipe every year or so. If you do this well any robot or AI could live almost indefinitely hypothetically at least. But at the same time after a few mindwipes they start to develop some odd quirks tendencies to try and murder organics et cetra. And well in terms of feelings. There has been document case of an AI or robot achieving true sentience as of yet. Their are rumors but none have been proved as of yet (and the plot explore this little tidbit in greater detail later) in terms of feelings well they can mimic feelings, they have code which tells them the appropriate emotional respond depending on a human subjects vocal tone, facial expressions and the like. But they don't feel themselves. [@Traitor] Hey I remember you! Spider girl person with the big rail gun of death! [@Atrexiel] Cool, cool, cool, cool. Alright so we've got enough interest for me to at least begin work on the OCC. Where a lot more of the world will be fleshed out and the like. In the meantime if any of you have any questions at all feel free to ask them here or PM me.
