Due to their illiteracy and complete lack of interest in anything but loot, orx have no record or recollection of their history aside from stories of their great heroes and tales of how they once shared their planet with many other races before the orx looted them into extinction. After killing off the other races, the orx turned on each other. Infighting raged on for year after year until an orx warboss gained enough strength to bring all other orx to heel and made himself the 1st Big Boss of the orx. With no loot to be found on their home world, the orx looked to the stars and realized something: If there was loot on their planet, the there must obviously be loot on other planets. And so it was that the orx began the construction of Da Loot Finda an large starship that would take the orx to the stars and the loot that awaited them.

The orx obsession with the acquisition and hoarding loot can be somewhat explained by the bizarre way they reproduce. When more orx are needed, they begin a Loot Munch. During a Loot Munch, the orx consume vast quantities of loot until they develop indigestion. When this happens they begin to cough up Orx Balls. Orx Balls are balls of solidified stomach acid and melted loot that grows continuously until the 2 orx developing therein are strong enough to break out. After that, the newborn orx pick up the 1st weapons they see, grab some armor if possible, and head out in search of more loot to start the process all over again.
