She'd been on a routine morning scavenging run when she had ran into one of the god damned bandits that stalked the streets. The bastard had chased after her and now she was sprinting through the streets trying to lose him. She ducked into a side alley and pushed herself up against the wall, trying to steady her breathing, listening as the man's footsteps got closer. She gripped her baseball bat tightly, readying herself for a fight. The moment the man turned the corner the baseball bat swung and hit him in the face, sending him to the ground. Tessa smirked as she looked at the man's unconscious body. She knelt down and began searching the bandit, coming up with a bottle of water, some bandages, and a lighter. She stood back up and slowly crept out of the alley, scanning the area for any danger. Between Tessa and Charlie, Tessa had always been the scavenger. Charlie was a great guardsman, and was always up to hold down the fort. Tessa was quick, and always ready for a fight. Tessa had always liked the arrangement. As much as she loved her friend, she enjoyed the time alone, searching through the abandoned city. She kept making her way down the street, searching for any signs of useful materials.
