I'm not saying I expect the same from my battle-partners, but I will try my hardest to make you understand the actions in my posts in a non-meta way, so you don't need to ask too many questions (which, if there are any, I will answer with gusto!). I write simply nowadays, for the most part due to my carpal tunnel. But I will still deliver solid, simple and hopefully-entertaining posts. That's my guarantee! That and it's easier to imagine the effects when you have a solid reference. [indent][indent][h3]Weapons[/h3][/indent][/indent] [hider=CLICK TO OPEN] [u]Shortswords[/u]: [i]Two lightweight (to Re), double-edged blades that Re wields, one in each hand.[/i] [indent][i]They are able to channel his energy.[/i][/indent] [indent][i]The material composing the blades is stronger than steel and slightly lighter, as they are made of mythril.[/i][/indent] [indent][i]They are tied to his arms by short, taut and extendable (via energy) chains of the same material.[/i][/indent] [indent][i]The chains funnel into the handles of the blades, allowing him to use them as a medium-range weapon (swinging) if he lets them go slightly.[/i][/indent] [indent][i]The chains are held to his arms by two slightly thick mythril braces, hidden under his sweater.[/i][/indent] [center][img]http://funkyimg.com/i/27MH9.png[/img][/center] [u]42.0 Blaze It[/u]: [i]A unique 42mm [sub](get it? 42.0 Blaze i-... nevermind...)[/sub] handcannon, that operates like a pistol on Re's kinetic energy.[/i] [indent][i]It is holstered at all times unless needed.[/i][/indent] [indent][i]The shot is a 42mm high-explosive and incendiary cartridge which is accelerated out of the short, stout barrel at supersonic speeds by Re's energy, greatening its piercing power.[/i][/indent] [indent][i]It explodes, and the pyrophoric powder inside sets the oxygen in the surrounding area (mainly whatever it hits) on fire.[/i][/indent] [indent][i]Re carries two more cartridges on the back of his belt.[/i][/indent] [center][img]http://funkyimg.com/i/27MH8.png[/img][/center] [/hider] [indent][indent][h3]Passive Abilities & Traits[/h3][/indent][/indent] [hider=CLICK TO OPEN] [u]Skeletal Structure Reinforcement[/u]: [i]Re's skeletal strength is bolstered by his inherited traits as an Atronachson, allowing him to take the impact force of an average car traveling at 40-50mph before breaking occurs.[/i] [u]Flesh Reinforcement[/u]: [i]Re's dermal layers are bolstered by his inherited traits as an Atronachson; his skin is hard yet flexible, allowing projectiles from small arms and low-pound-pull bows to either break against his flesh or reflect.[/i] [indent][i]This lessens the penetrating power of greater-caliber arms and higher-pound-pull bows, along with lessening the penetration of edged weapons, in both slashing and stabbing attacks.[/i][/indent] [u]Basic Resistances and Immunities[/u]: [i]Atronachsons are granted basic resistances and immunities, but all vary in some way.[/i] [indent][i]Re has the following resistances and/or immunities:[/i][/indent] [hr] [list] [*] [b]Disease, Sickness, Venom and Poison[/b] (Outright Immunity) [*] [b]Positive Heat[/b] (Resistance) (Can resist the negative physical effects of fire for up to two posts after initiative). [*] [b]Negative Heat[/b] (Resistance) (Can resist the negative physical effects of ice or cold for up to one post after initiative). [*] [b]Magic and Energy[/b] (Resistance) (Incoming magical/energetic effects, abilities and spells have their effects lessened by a quarter (25%), this includes healing and buffs (self-granted buffs do not apply the deduction, if self-applied buffs are applicable)) This allows Re to 'deflect' magical/energetic projectiles with his hands, or outright grab them and redirect them. [*] [b]Human Necessities[/b] (Outright Immunity) (Breathing, Eating, Sleeping, Drinking). [*] [b]Gravity (Resistance)[/b] (Allows him to resist the effects of gravitational control and sway. If gravity is decreased by up to three times its normal value, Re will still remain rooted to the ground. If it is increased by up to four times its normal value, Re will remain unburdened by the additional weight). [/list] [hr] [u]Heightened Strength[/u]: [i]Atronachsons have varying levels of physical strength. Re, being an Atronachson of a Physical Elemental, has a high amount of physical strength. At most, he can lift a bus over his head and throw it at maximum capacity. His heightened strength also allows him to run faster, and leap long distances. He can also take falls very well- even from skyscrapers.[/i] [u]Heightened Speed[/u]: [i]Atronachsons of Physical Elementals often have increased speed due to strengthened musculature, especially in the legs. Re is no exception; he can run faster than a human, but slower than most modern vehicles (40-65mph). This also means that he can move his limbs at greatened speeds.[/i] [u]Heightened Agility[/u]: [i]Atronachsons often have heightened agility and Re, again is no exception. He can maneuver his body in many ways without discomfort, and do so with great grace and speed.[/i] [u]Heightened Reaction Time[/u]: [i]Atronachsons, once again often have heightened reaction time. Re's borders on the superhuman, being able to physically react to a direct firearm shot from a short range (about 10-30 feet). This pins Re's reaction time at 0.004s to 0.012s (4ms-12ms). A human's is, on-average, 0.25s to 0.3s (250ms-300ms).[/i] [u]Heightened Stamina[/u]: [i]Atronachsons always have very heightened stamina, and Re is no exception here as well. He is able to perform at or near his physical peak for hours on end.[/i] [u]Energetic Form[/u]: [i]Re's inner body is consistent of kinetic energy instead of... well, muscle, tendons, nerves and organs. He still has bones, though.[/i] [indent][i]This means he cannot 'bleed' per se, nor does he require organs, but the energy acts as a nervous and cerebral system. He will feel pain like a human.[/i][/indent] [indent][i]And yes, he can die, it just takes more to kill something that doesn't necessarily have the need for blood.[/i][/indent] [indent][i]Typical methods include decapitation, outright obliteration (by any means), and more.[/i][/indent] [indent][i]The energy flowing through him allows him to use his powers and is incredibly hot when used, ranging from [b]around[/b] 2,500 Celsius (when using abilities such as Channel, which is what makes the blades instantly cauterize the wounds) up to around 7,000 Celsius (when using abilities such as Beam You Down, which is why the beam melts metal with incredible ease). Re cannot be harmed by his own energy.[/i][/indent] [/hider] [indent][indent][h3]Active Abilities (Powers)[/h3][/indent][/indent] [hider=CLICK TO OPEN] [u]Ares Would Be Proud, But He's an Asshole[/u]: [i]Taking inspiration from God of War (one of Re's favorite games), he can mimic Kratos' chainblades with his own chained swords, by using his energy to extend the chains while wielding them, allowing him to attack from a longer range. This does not channel the energy through the weapons unless he does so beforehand.[/i] [u]Energy Healing[/u]: [i]Re can absorb kinetic energy (and regular energy) from outside sources- including his own which is projected -and in turn this heals wounds, even restoring limbs to their original state if he takes enough.[/i] [indent][i]How he does this is that he 'activates' it. It cuts his physical power and speed in half for as long as he uses it, but it allows him to heal wounds passively at a reasonable rate every turn.[/i][/indent] [indent][i]He can suck energy out from living beings with his hands, but it's much slower.[/i][/indent] [indent][i]Re can also perform a failsafe absorb, which allows him to absorb energy from incoming attacks that are powerful, greatly lessening the blow and healing him in the process.[/i][/indent] [indent][i]Attacking him with kinetic-based attacks of any type (punch, kick, bullets, etcetera) will quickly become 'absorbed', and wounds will heal quickly.[/i][/indent] [indent][i]He also draws on the kinetic force of the wind, which will take a total of eight posts to recover him to full health if he has a lost limb.[/i][/indent] [indent][i]Cuts and bruises vanish within one post after the initiative. Gashes and other lacerations vanish after four posts, and broken bones repair themselves after eight posts.[/i][/indent] [u]Zerg Rush[/u]: [i]Charging his legs with energy, Re bursts forward at immense speed, enough to break the sound barrier (340-344m/s). One post cooldown.[/i] [u]Ultra Stomp[/u]: [i]Charging a leg with energy, Re slams down onto the ground with incredible force, creating a massive crater. Two post cooldown.[/i] [u]Ultra Punch[/u]: [i]Charging an arm with energy, Re cranks the poor motherfucker with a punch that forces muscles to have incredibly painful convulsions in the area of effect. The punch also bears enough force to blow a five-inch-wide hole through a ten-inch-thick, one-foot-tall and three-foot-wide block of steel. Two post cooldown.[/i] [u]Mega-Muscle[/u]: [i]Charging his whole body with energy, Re then has triple the physical strength he would for five of his posts. Three post cooldown.[/i] [u]Channel[/u]: [i]Re can channel his energy into his blades and chains, the kinetic padding allowing them to take more punishment, and dish more out.[/i] [indent][i]Essentially, Re's blades can slice through steel like butter with this, the padding being partially matter-disruptive.[/i][/indent] [indent][i]By 'partially' I mean that if Re were to clash the energy-channeling blade with your own, it would cut into it regardless of how powerful or reinforced the material was as it disrupts the matter, [b]but only partially[/b].[/i][/indent] [indent][i]For example, if your weapon was five inches wide and it clashed with Re's, the blades would go about an inch through the weapon before sliding out.[/i][/indent] [indent][i]Don't worry, in regards to flesh/bone, the effect is lessened as the energy seems to be augmented with an anti-material property instead of an anti-bio-organic-material property. The energy allows the blades to only go through about half an inch more of flesh (or bone) than they normally would before sliding out.[/i][/indent] [indent][i]If the blades themselves are destroyed, Re can still use this ability with summoned blades made entirely of kinetic energy, along with the 'Ares Would Be Proud, But He's an Asshole' ability. The blades just make things easier.[/i][/indent] [indent][i]Touching the blades or being cut with them results in a painful energetic shock which cauterizes the wound but causes the muscles and nerves in the surrounding area to 'charlie-horse' (for the muscles) and feel like they've caught fire (for the nerves) for two posts, making the use of that limb nigh impossible. This leaves muscles tense, making physical attacks hard to execute properly.[/i][/indent] [u]Beam You Down[/u]: [i]Re shoots out a hand, and charges it with a [b]lot[/b] of energy. This takes one turn.[/i] [i][indent]The next turn, a large beam of energy shoots out of his hand at great speed toward the target. The energy beam can shatter most armor and singe flesh with no effort, making it incredibly dangerous.[/indent][/i] [i][indent]The beam also catches dry, flammable materials on fire, and can melt most metals; hitting the ground causes it to tear it up, making a large gouge. This puts a two-post cooldown on all of Re's abilities except for Channel.[/indent][/i] [u]Blow You Away[/u]: [i]Flashing his arms outward, Re blasts forth an arced wave of kinetic energy, which can flip over a few cars before it stops. One post cooldown.[/i] [u]Shield[/u]: [i]As the name implies, Re throws out his hands and puts up a shield of energy. The more energy he channels into it, the more punishment it can take and the longer it lasts.[/i] [indent][i]It blocks all forms of projectiles and incoming attacks, until the shield either vanishes or breaks (there are thresholds based on the amount of energy given to the shield).[/i][/indent] [indent][i]He can also wield a shield in one hand, for half the cost and half the durability (except for stages 1-3, wherein the durability is unchanged), but double the duration.[/i][/indent] [indent][i]Here are the base amounts of energy-to-protection and duration:[/i][/indent] [hr] [list] [*]1 = 12.5% energy = 1 heavy attack / 5 light (allows bunnying). 2 post duration. [*]2 = 25% energy = 2 heavy attacks / 6 light (allows bunnying after 1 post). 3 post duration. [*]3 = 50% energy = 4 heavy attacks / 7 light (allows bunnying after 2 posts). 4 post duration. [*]4 = 60% energy = 8 heavy attacks / 10 light (allows bunnying after 6 posts). 8 post duration. [*]5 = 80% energy = 10 heavy attacks / 12 light (allows bunnying after 8 posts). 10 post duration. [*]6 = 100% energy = Unbreakable until the shield falls. 5 post duration. [/list] [hr] [indent][i]One post cooldown on all stages except 6, which gives a four post cooldown on all his abilities.[/i][/indent] [u]Nova Form[/u]: [i]Overloading his body with energy, Re's hands become large claws made of solidified kinetic energy with a matter-disruptive ultra-energetic padding, which can shred through armor, magic and flesh alike. If not for the matter-disruptive padding, it would be the sheer heat of the claws and Re's body that would shred through most armor and flesh (around his maximum energetic temperature (~7000 Celsius)).[/i] [indent][i]He has double the speed and strength that he normally would, but this form only lasts three of his posts; after which, unless the enemy is defeated he falls unconscious (granting the enemy an automatic win).[/i][/indent] [/hider]
