Another year. As the sun rose over the academy, signifying the start of a new day, and for many the beginning of their time at the academy, Bruce Wayne stood in his office, watching the first students arrive. Some students had opted to stay throughout the break, among them his own daughter. He had been glad of that, glad of the chance to have more time with her, without all the problems the semester had brought. "After last years fiascos, I'm glad the academy is once more expecting a new influx of students. Hopefully there won't be the troubles of the last semester." Bruce said, turning the other man in the office. Clark Kent, formerly known as superman, nodded, but a quick grin flashed across his face, "you said that last year as wel, Bruce. I think you will just have to face it-there will always be trouble in one way or another" Bruce gave a sigh, but nodded in agreement. "You're right, of course. At least there were some successes last year, a new super in the world-Sue Cassidy is certainly making a name for herself as Echo. now, as long as she doesn't destroy some buildings..." Bruce trailed off, glancing out the window again. "How many times have we seen the world change, Clark? We better ensure these students are well prepared for whatever comes their way" [hr] Phoebe was awake bright and early. All around her room, there was the appearance that she had lived there for a while, and plenty of indication of comfort. She had posters, photos, drawings, and more plastered over the walls, books spread leisurely all over, a TV with a game system sat in a corner, a couple of bean bags settled in front of it, and there were flowers where ever possible, on the window sill, on the night stand, on shelves, all showing indication of being well cared for. Running clothes were just thrown on the floor, and Phoebe herself was just pulling on a shirt, pulling back her long red hair and tying it back, she considered herself presentable, and grabbing her satchel she darted out, ready to great new students, and direct them to sign in. [hr] Connor walked up to the academy, rucksack and backpack over a shoulder. He could have flown quite easily, but where would he keep his gear? it was good to see the academy, having gone home. The break had been needed, for everyone he thought. He hoped this year would be less eventful. He figured there would be some familiar faces, and was not disappointed there, spying Phoebe darting across the court yard. It did look like there were several new students, and he wished them well. [hr] Harry climbed out of a taxi, having travelled alone to the academy. He paid the cabbie, and gathered up his gear, saying no, thank you to the cabbie who offered to help, and took his first look at the building. A young boy, Harry was average height, pale skinned and dark haired. His eyes were hidden behind glasses that were almost goggles, and he wore a hoodie, pulled up, so his eyes were in shadows. The boy appeared to stand there for a few moments, looking like he was having an internal debate within himself. The voices echoed around his mind, but he pushed them back, and taking a break, made his way up to the academy, keeping his eyes down.
