I've had this sort of weird idea stuck in a while, and i think this is the right place to put it out. I hope some one thinks it's as interesting and fun sounding as I do. The age of humans has been fairly new, however the world has not been. The world has seen things long beyond that of the humans, and it doesn't seem to be stopping anytime soon. Besides from the years it's taken for the animals to evolve to what they are, there was something before then, sometime before anything 'natural' was on this planet. The time of the gods. These ancient beast, colossal pillars of awesome power from all manors of magic and natural feat alike, once covered the world. These beings shaped the world to their accord, and have made it...strange. When they dissapeared, the races of the land took their places. It's mostly a barren land, but they make do. The remains of the old world remain, and they give true power to those who wield them, but parels risked to gain such things are rather plentiful. This is a roleplay taking place on a world where ancient beings baring amazing power have mysteriously vanished but left many ruins and relics from the old times. These ruins are like dungeons, often times filled with monsters and traps but carry a lot of loot. The world is mostly one big continent, and usually nothing more than dessert. Powerful mountains near the edges and small islands around the super continent. The idea is to set a very simple plot and give minor explanation to the world and let the roleplayers themselves help create the world. This means: magic, races, monsters, lore, kingdoms, story, and more are made up as we go by everyone.
