Sent a message to [@GrafRoy Zeppeli] just to make sure my own mental image was correct, I'll copy the brief bit of info I sent them to hopefully help you out.

"Also, is my current view of the terrain correct? They're flanked by mountains, the slope that Heike is standing on being the least-steep part of one of them (Essentially, Quinque is standing on plains, Heike Hills, with Peaks more or less bordering the outside of the map). The very beginning of the ruins (Maybe an outside settlement?) is where the bandits are currently camped, and some traveling needs to be done yet to reach the main part."

Does that give you a better feel for things?
