W.I.P/Oldies
Identity Name: Ariad (The Weeper) Age: Unknown (Appears mid-40’s) Height: 5ft 10” Weight: 64kg Physical Description: Ariad seems human at a glance, with short black hair and a black beard, both sprinkled with grey. His eyes are red-rimmed and somewhat sunken, but otherwise normal and brown in colouration. His other features aren’t in anyway strange or unusual, and his general appearance is one that most would consider unremarkable. However, none of this can usually be seen beneath his white face-mask. With a build edging between average and athletic, he fits in well in any human crowd. Psychological Description: Ariad feels a bitter-sweet melancholy at all times, and strange things can cause him to be overcome with grief, shedding tears unusually, especially over the bodies of those he has harmed. Tier: 3-4 Powers/Abilities/Skills: Ariad is only gifted with one major power, which unsurprisingly taps into the emotions of his opponent’s. Unlike what one may expect, they are not driven to depression or even sadness necessarily, but rather they feel a heightening of whatever emotional responses are most common for them (or whatever emotions can be tripped by events which unfold). This ability has only ever proven completely ineffective against foes which literally have no biological capacity to feel, primarily robots. Humans with psychological conditions have actually proven to be effected, often more strongly, due to an influx of chemical responses they’re wholly unused to forcing them to feel for often the first time. However, even in circumstances where he is unable to gain a major advantage from the emotional unbalancing of an opponent, Ariad is still gifted with a number of combat related skills. His strength is pushed beyond the peak of a human being, though far from immense he can lift about 800kg with effort, still allowing him to lift and throw the average human with just one hand. His agility and speed are his biggest advantages, owing to his lithe build, he can run at 60mph and dodge the melee attacks of any human on the planet on reflex alone. Though he reacts at thrice the speed of any human, he is not fast enough to see and then dodge a bullet, but certainly an arrow or other slightly slower moving projectile. His skill-set is one that allows him to carry out pretty close to any physical feet any human being can carry out, with the added benefits of his above human abilities. Expect any forms of acrobatics, and the ability to launch any melee attack he so chooses with his body in the most efficient and powerful way possible. This is not a complete knowledge of every human martial art, but the ability to perform movements he decides upon effectively, by using his superhuman attributes. His durability has never been a strong point for Ariad, known to become badly wounded by even a few rounds of an ordinary pistol. He accommodates for this by trying not to get shot or hit by anything hard enough to outright kill him. Ariad has been shown to heal incredibly quickly provided he can escape a fight without being killed outright. When fighting however his strange power has to concentrate on the unbalancing of other’s emotions, so he has no ability to heal in battle. Ariad is not known to eat or drink, though he can still be effected by chemicals their effectiveness is fairly limited. He does still seem to be dependent upon air to breath however. Equipment The Weeping Blade (The Weeper) A seemingly ordinary steel gladius (short-sword) of average length and diameter. Seems painted with red specks along both edges from the point till half-way to the hilt. It’s physically incredibly difficult to break or dull, and can be repaired by Ariad in some fashion he is unwilling to disclose. Unlike an ordinary steel sword its edge is sharp enough to sheer through steel plate and flesh with only the force of an ordinary man behind it. Ariad can –easily- cut through a brick without damaging the blade, making it a formidable and deadly weapon even to armoured opponents. Other than its sharpness and durability it has no other combat-applicable powers. The Weeper, or The Weeping Blade, has a long and terrible history. Legend says it was once an ordinary sword, before it was plunged into the breast of a noblewoman either by her own hand or by her most loyal servant, none are sure. Most agree that the blade was cursed by a wrathful god, whose play-thing escaped his torment with its strike, ensuring that it would bring sadness to so many as to satisfy his hunger. That has yet to be done. 9mm Glock, one extra mag. Ordinary clothing/apparel. A white face mask, seemingly made in operatic style (think phantom of the opera) made to display sadness. History: Ariad, or the Weeper as he is known, is presumed to belong to a long line of cursed souls forced to wield the ancient blade of sorrow. Shedding the lives of innocents where the bitterest sadness will follow. It is a terrible life, but one in which he is inexplicably bound, many know the reputation of the weeper, but most only see the white mask of pain. Gender: Male, hopefully, possibly, who really knows. Race: Divine, MelonHead Random descriptors: The God Of Madness, Daeh, can take any form he wishes. His default is a thin stick figure with a bulbous melon shaped head, roughly five feet in height. Character Tier: High (God if unrestricted.) Character Type: Critical Character- Background Character. Physical Description: Will be described anytime the Melon God is present, expect it to change as rapidly as Daeh’s mood. Personality Description: Madness, pure simple unaltered madness, and its glorious revolution across the cosmos. Skills, powers and abilities: In his true form Daeh is just a personification of madness and can do anything within the stretches of his mad imagination, his avatar is somewhat more limited. It is capable of feats of immense strength, cited as throwing the Eifel tower at one point. It’s also capable of stretching itself to disproportionate sizes, changing shape and appearance at will, flying for no particular reason, shooting beams and energy blasts all of a heart-warming lime green colour. His avatar can also split itself, often into numerous melon heads, or just flying melons. However, its main restriction is that it cannot completely dominate minds driving foes insane instantaneously. It also lacks control of pocket dimensions and the like, having to depend upon rudimentary travel while in the Nexus. It’s still pretty goddamn powerful though, and can affect minds enough to make itself invisible or to cause terrifying illusions. Character Equipment: Daeh can generate weapons if he wants them… which he rarely does, unless it appeals to his bitter and twisted mind. Character History: Daeh is born from true chaos, but from within… he is a primal force of the element of madness, which is hard to describe… but so long as madness exists so does he. Over his many years he has recruited numerous individuals to his cause, to champion his beautiful crusade of spreading madness all over the darn place. This suits him more than just floating around doing it himself, because gods, even Daeh, are petty like that.

Name: Liu Sho Alignment: True Neutral Age: 30 Gender: Male Race: Pandaren Physical Description: Pandaren as a whole look incredibly similar to humanoid pandas, sporting powerful stocky builds and five fingered hands with opposable thumbs and claws. Liu Sho is no exception, standing at five foot five inches and with a wide body with deceptive muscle under his furry form. He weighs one hundred and twenty five kilos, but moves with trained grace and carefree stride. He usually wears the traditional garb of his people (see reference) and carries a large flask on his back. Personality Description: Pandaren are carefree individuals who enjoy every day as it comes and live their lives carefree and happy. They prefer to avoid conflict, and Liu Sho adheres to this almost religiously hence his neutrality. However, when angered a Pandaren loses themselves in battle which can make them a dangerous foe, and ally. Natural abilities: Physically as strong as a bear, Liu can lift four times his weight with effort. His claws can rip through flesh and his fangs have enough bite force to tear out a man’s throat with ease. On all fours, he can sprint at thirty five miles per hour, on two feet he can manage twenty. He’s agile for his size, through a life of training in martial arts and spirituality, although his drunkenness usually mars this grace slightly. He can move about as fast as a peak human, and his reflexes are at human peak, despite being drunk most of the time. He is also physically robust, allowing him to take hits but also giving him significantly above human stamina. His sense of smell is heightened significantly the same as his hearing, his eye sight is about the same as the average humans but is only half as effected by the dark. His body is as durable as a pandas, thick fur protects him from the cold and elemental attacks to some degree. Arrows struggle to pierce his hide and sword strikes thrown with the strength of an average human are only capable of minor grazes. Adapted skills: Liu spent his young life in the ritualistic and spiritual monk training of all Pandaren, developing significant unarmed fighting significant. This accounts for his unnatural grace, even under the influence. He is fond of a style of drunken fighting, where his senses are numbed yet his fluidity in battle becomes completely unpredictable. He’s also an adept stave fighter, and can use a wide multitude of other weapons at an apprentice level, only modern weapons are completely unusable in his hands, and he’s not a particularly good marksman either. He has a moderate amount of acrobatic skill and climbing ability, exceptional when considering his build and bulk. He’s also very good at making beer. Magic. Magical ability Liu is an elementalist, in all things the Pandaren believe in balance so he dabbles in the four major elemental powers, at the cost of any great expertise in any one, his elemental control is incredibly short ranged and always requires some form of gesture, but can be projected outwards like ordinary spells. His abilities with each element are as followed. Fire: Liu can use his ability to spark up a flame in either hand and throw it a short distance, he can also augment his attacks with fire and essentially create it at whim at close range. All fire he creates dissipates at ranges above twenty feet or after five seconds have elapsed, preventing it from actually setting things alight for long periods of time. His average flame is about as hot as a camp-fire, though with certain combinations it can grow hotter. Earth: Liu can raise rock around him to form dust clouds or destabilise the ground in a five foot radius around him by impacting it physically, larger impacts cause a greater shockwave effect and can even throw people backwards or knock them off their feet. Air: Liu can use the air to only a small degree aggressively, using it to fuel his fire to greater heats or disperse alcohol for the fire. Passively he can hear words spoken from a significant distance away and feel significant breakage of a body of air in a radius of about fifty feet around him if he’s concentrating. It does allow him the ability to use air to speed up movements for short bursts and gives him a degree of control mid-air, though not at the same time as using other powers. Water: Liu most prefers his manipulation of fire and water. With water he can manipulate liquids (so long as they are predominantly made of H20) and heal wounds. He can manipulate liquids around himself up to five feet at speeds fast enough to knock a grown man off their feet and volumes of around twenty litres. The magical healing qualities of water are near boundless, however Liu is currently only capable of healing light grazes and the like in battle, and must work hard for long periods of time and concentration to deal with serious wounds. (After battle) List of Combos: Some of Liu’s elemental attacks can be combined for greater power. Breath of Fire, combination of water, air and fire in that order. Earth Shaker: Air followed by Earth Infernal Cyclone: Fire followed by Air Palm of Fire: Fire and Air More to be added when I think of other combos. Character Equipment: Chen’s Flask, a casket carried on his back which fills with any beverage Liu wishes. This could be water, or alcohol of any kind. There are also three magical alcoholic beverages which can be produced in the flask. The Flask was an artefact long lost by an ancient Pandaren adventurer and brew master. Liu adopted the role of its guardian after finding it by what he believed as chance in his wanderings. The cask is incredibly difficult to damage or pierce, but not impossible, any damage done to the flask magically repairs itself after a period of time directly proportional to the severity of the damage. Something like a bullet hole for example would take an hour to repair. The flask only works for Pandaren and is bound to Liu’s soul, which in the strange world he finds himself in is renewable. This allows him to track the flask no matter where it is taken, and it takes enormous power to completely destroy. Magical Drinks: Using the Flask Liu can create drinks with magical effects which he can then consume. He can only be under the effect one at a time, and all come with minor set-backs (not to mention increased drunkenness.) Xian’s Steadying Ale: Provides Liu with resistance to fear and magic, it also makes him incredibly difficult to unbalance by force, however he grows slightly more sluggish and heavier, dropping his speed down to more average human levels. Lian’s Supple Brew: Provides Liu with an added grace and agility, allowing him to move roughly twice as fluidly and fast as before. It also heightens his to twice human peak, however he also becomes easier to knock over and seems lighter. Warrior’s Spirit: Forces Liu into a beserker rage with doubles his strength and endurance, and allows him to use his fire power with more force, but only at melee range. This drink allows him to overcome paralysing and poisoning agents for a short period. Character History: Liu set out at the age of twenty as was custom. Twenty marks a quarter of one’s life, with the Pandaren’s average lifespan of eighty years. He wandered the world looking for ingredients for brews and experiences, not particularly bound by morale’s and happy to take each day as it comes. His trials lead to a strange occurrence however as he happened upon Chen’s flask, an ancient Pandaren artefact which greatly enhanced his powers while also giving him a sudden insight into his purpose in life. He still wanders, but he is bound to protect the flask at all costs.

__________Name Matrix__________ Name: Solomon Alabaster Uses: Solomon, Puppet Master, High Priest. Alias: High Priest of the Mad god, The Puppet Master __________Physical Matrix__________ Race: Human True Age: 276 Appearing Age: 70-80 Height: Five foot nine inches Weight: Forty five KG Body Style: Thin Hair Style: Lank, shoulder length. Hair Color: Grey Eye Shape: Thin Almond Eye Color: Green Skin Type: Wrinkled, emaciated Skin Color: Pale, sickly. Blood Type: Unknown Handed: Ambidextrous (Due to magic) Tattoos: None Scars: None Birthmark: None visible Perfections: All senses are heightened, despite his age, magically enhanced to twice human peak. Imperfections: Physically frail, durability of a man, and an old one at that. Apparently slow moving (although capable of some saving throws if necessary) __________Psychological-Sociological Matrix__________ Mind State: Unstable and tuned towards sociopathic tendencies born from his encounter with the Mad God, not completely insane by acolyte standards, however they do say there’s a fine line between brilliance and madness. Personality: Sadistic and cruel, devoid of most human emotions and with very little morality. Self-interested, coldly arrogant, ambitious, intelligent and quick thinking. Views: Serves the mad god as high priest, which gives a certain dark hue to the world. The puppet master views his place on the earth as the seed of chaos, causing pain and suffering and driving men to the brink for his own amusement. Mind’s World: Laughing faces… so many laughing faces. Class: Manipulative Mage Occupation: High Priest Aligned: Chaotic Evil Martial Status: Unknown Sexuality: Unknown Status: Trawling the world for new puppets, serving the Mad God’s insane aims. __________Spirit Matrix__________ Spirituality: Follower of the Mad God World: A Victorian steampunk/fantasy smash. __________Family Matrix__________ Family: Dead or worse __________Armament Matrix__________ ‘Armour’: High Priest robe. Like Manias’ own, the robe resists a degree of force, magnified of course due to his higher place in the cult of the mad god. The black robes draw in negative energy, feeding from the worst parts of the human psyche, allowing it to resist around 20% of magical attacks and reflect ten% of physical force. The Robe can also be charged by drawing from souls or any other source of energy Solomon can attain, allowing it to absorb or smother attacks (within charge). The robe covers his entire body and he often wears his hood to conceal his face. He also has a piece of cloth he can fasten across the mouth piece so only his eyes and upper face are visible, if barely. The mouth piece is enchanted with alteration spells to filter out the air he breathes, keeping him alive when making his potions and as a side effect protecting him from certain attacks. His ‘weapons’ are his hands, although not in the conventional way. (Equipment) He also has two defensive gas vials which he can reproduce with the required components, one lets out a burst of acrid smoke which burns the throat of any who breathe it in and causes wildly disorientating effects, however it doesn’t affect the eyes any more than usual smoke. It has roughly 7 feet radius. The other is a simple ‘ninja style’ smoke grenade, which lets out thick plumes of smoke in a ten feet radius. Obviously it would cause some discomfort and eventually choke you if you were to remain within it without air purifiers. The smoke is magically altered so that unnatural abilities that would usually pierce the smoke are ineffective, unless charged. Discipline: Hand to hand. Sub-Discipline: Alchemy __________Passive-Activated Arcana Matrix__________ Primary Arcana: Alteration Mage Explanation:By using energy/ his mana (depends on source) he creates two massive hands which hover ten feet from his own which he controls with deft movements and his power. (The hands are roughly five times the size of an average humans, pale green and ethereal in nature but with physical substance behind them.) These are used to fight, but also as conduits for his other spells. Classified: Puppet Master Primary: Manipulation Innate: In a way, the Puppet Hands are innate, as he always uses them in any form of fight. However they are not always present in day to day dealings. Soul steal – Takes the soul of any he slays with his Puppet Hands and copies their body to be summoned at a later date. Fear Aura – Causes irrational fears to manifest themselves in opponents. Can also replicate genuine fears the opponent may have if they have suffered an extreme enough trauma in their past. Life Drain – Hitting opponents with his Puppet Hands causes their souls to loosen, especially effective on mortals as it drains part of their life, prolonging Solomon’s own. (This can also heal him, so minor and some major wounds are healed on battle victory) (On the undead, the effects work towards controlling the creature, so it weakens its connection with its animus) It’s possible for opponents to be driven mad by the attacks or even the presence of Solomon. No escape – When the Puppet Hands are activated Solomon can sense those connected to magic, be it through the unnatural animation of the undead, or simply some magically enhanced weapon. Blessing of the mad god – Solomon’s alteration magic is coupled with a blessing from his lord, providing him with twice human senses at their peak. He is also ambidextrous. Potion Master – Solomon is an adept alchemist, and is capable of identifying and creating all manners of potions. He would bring at least two vials of highly virulent poison with him to the arena. He also has one minor stamina potion. Activated: Puppet Hands: The two large green ethereal hands which he summons up to ten feet from him (they can move in a ten feet range in any direction, with the exception of charging) they require relatively little energy to maintain, only direct attacks and enforcing their substance requires significant time/energy. They are roughly five times the size of normal hands. They have a number of physical abilities. - By charging his energy into the hands, he can double their size and range, allowing them to be launched forward up to twenty feet and reach twice as far. - If he wishes, rather than increasing their range and size he can increase their power, making them hurt twice as much when they hit, rather than the force of a hand that large smacking you, it would be the force of a raging bull. This has the counter effect of also making them more durable, so that they could deflect or defend against an attack or similar charge. - The hands charge only last for one move, be it an attack or defence. - When they connect with an opponent, on top of the significant physical force they drain part of the opponents soul, doing magic damage to mortals and on undead weakening their animus. Even ghosts aren’t spared from this effect, as the ethereal hands can pass into their realm. - The hands move roughly in sync to his own, they have a reaction time of about half a second from his movements and can fly through the air at roughly half the speed you can wave your hand across your face. He can manipulate the hands using his energy, or simply by moving his own. (When not using his hands the Puppet Hands are less effective in combat) - Direct attacks against the hands are relatively ineffective due to their ethereal nature; however they can be disabled briefly by enough magical force. Physical weapons are woefully ineffective though. - Being ethereal does have its limitations, they cannot pass through shields and armour which are charged with electricity or power, and cannot pass straight through someone’s body and solidify. Puppet Minion: Any souls stolen by the Puppet Master replicate the bodies and summon weak clones of their original. (In the arena, it would only copy the imprint of the opponents he may defeat, not take their soul. Their powers would work to only a 25% of original effectiveness, physical abilities work at 50%.) This ability requires concentration and constant supplies of energy to maintain. In T1 it would require a charge to even activate, and during the course of it one puppet hand is disabled while it manipulates the clone. If he wishes Solomon can summon up to two clones at once. The clones can move up to a distance of 25 feet away from him before they fade away. Voice of the Mad God: Two charge ability, the Puppet Hands push close to him and then burst out as he roars in a voice which brings insanity upon lesser foes. The force of it ripples outwards, becoming a large cone of effect over its fifty feet range, it does harsh mental damage and can burst ear drums or cause paralysis on unequipped opponents. The damage is proportional to distance, someone stood less than five feet away from the source should expect to either have every blood vessel in their brain blown up, or at least be blown backwards and disorientated. Death Grip(lol): 2 charge: If both hands get a grip on an opponent they can lift them helplessly into the air and then throw them upwards about five feet, moving into position they quickly crush the opponent in mid-air with the force of two colliding trucks. (Sadly with the enemy in the middle) Insanities Conductor: Two charges, one of the Puppet Hands flies fifteen feet up above an opponent and green ethereal strings burst from it, wrapping around the targets arms and legs. Solomon can then manipulate their movements until they are either freed or break free, however that’s usually more than enough time to have them cause chaos. Perfections: Experienced in the art of death dealing, incredibly forceful. Manipulative and dark, causes fear and psychological effects. Imperfections: Lacks the range and sheer power of some mage disciples and arts, reliance on the Puppet Hands above all else. League: Intermediate Class: Medium Battle Ready

Azarak the Warrior Name: Azarak Race: Demon-Spawn Age: 165 years old Appearance: Demon Spawn are capable of manifesting themselves in one of two forms, though the transitionary stage is incredibly painful and despite the rapid regeneration process that occurs during the transition one is incredibly vulnerable during. Demonic Form: The true visage of the Demon-Spawn, larger than life and often vaguely humanoid in appearance, age tends to bestow additions to a Demon. Azarak is not particularly powerful, belonging to the basic warrior caste of Demon-Spawn he has only lived long enough to make it to a field officer level, he still stands at nine feet tall with powerful shoulders huge muscles and dark-red skin. Sharp claws adorn each finger and thumb and his teeth are unnaturally pointed. His ears are also pointed and his nose is simply two holes in the front of his face. His eyes are sunken and a dark red glow illuminates them from behind. Overall he looks pretty damn creepy. Weight: 260kg Strength: With full access to his demonic strength, Azarak fights like a beserker with the ability to flip an average car with both hands or lift a tonne of weight with considerable effort with a single arm. Strength is however his main attribute in this form, and allows him to jump long distances and carry out other feats of muscular superiority. Durability: Obviously complimenting his strength, Azarak's dense muscle mass allows him to simply sponge low calibre rounds as insignificant flesh wounds, and his body is of course conditioned to sustain the weights he can lift so one would not expect any mortal to be able to physically inflict damage upon him without weaponry. His endurance is demonic in nature, it is rare at best for any demon to be exhausted from physical activity and his body is naturally resilient to extreme elements, particularly fire. Speed: Capable of running at a steady 50mph in a straight line, his muscular strength allows Azarak to carry out powerful movements, many foes have been surprised by the larger demon's speed. Agility: Such a bulky form is of course limited, making his agility his weakest attribute, Azarak cannot move to face a much faster and smaller opponent easily. Though one shouldn't consider him a lumbering giant, he would certainly be closer comparatively than other faster characters in his Demonic form. Regeneration: Being in his Demonic form allows Azarak to quickly heal from light wounds, due to demonic blood promoting repair in demons, while being highly corrosive to any other organism. Claws: His natural weapon, sharp eight inch blades adorning his digits. Demons have been known to rend iron armour in two with little effort with their claws, so they can be lethal when applied to flesh or ordinary kevlars and other lesser armours. Ultimately, his greatest ability in his demon form is his access to his two basic demonic powers, the physical and the elemental. Physical: Manifesting sharp obsidian spikes from his body at hide speed provides Azarak with a ready supply of weapons, and his armour is basically an exo-skeleton esque extension of his biological body, providing protecting roughly comparable to steel in areas that aren't required to move. (He can't just manifest his exo-skeleton on an elbow joint.) Elemental: Demon-Fire, the ability to produce and control a form of fire which is demonic in origin, burning non-demons (demon in this context refers to creatures borne in Hell in a biblical sense) at a temperature roughly 2000-2500 degrees celsius, it can't be put out without magic but it consumes ordinary fire. It takes time to produce any more than a small amount of it, and it can't spread naturally without energy and concentration. Equipment: Azarak’s natural exoskeleton protects him adequately from harm, but he chooses to carry a large two handed war-axe like weapon. It has a five foot shaft with multiple axe blades running down its length down to the last two feet. Made of some unnatural demonic metal, it can rend through the toughest of materials and burns to the touch. He tends to wear it on his back in a specially designed holder that wraps across his chest. Human Form: In his human form Azarak can just barely pass for an unusual looking human being. Thin and tall, he still has unusually sharp canines and if one looks closely his irises have a red hue. Otherwise he seems like an ordinary man, with short blonde hair and generic facial features. Weight: 77 kg Strength: Significantly reduced in his human form, Azarak can just barely lift 250kg with both arms. This does make him significantly stronger than the average man though. Durability: Without his muscular durability Azarak can be killed far more easily, though his general biological structure has to support a far greater than natural strength in his thin form, he can take a few shots and reduce the liklihood of limbs being severed or bones being broken. His endurance is still demonic in nature though, so he can fight for at least a few hours. Speed: Lacking the pure muscular strength his sprinting speed is only 30mph at most. Agility: His thinner form provides Azarak with a far greater agility, reacting thrice as fast as any human and maintaining a human body capable of using his faster reflexes, this is his main advantage other than subterfuge in his Humanic Form. Azarak can't access his demonic power effectively in a Human Form, though he can cause up to two obsidian spikes to pierce through the skin it causes him to bleed. Common: In both forms Azarak's demonic biology allows him to defy poisons and chemical which would effect ordinary humans. Also, fighting directly increases his resistance to most negative effects he has no specific defences for, though only through partial resistance. Azarak is a master fighter, and capable of most if not all physical feats possible for human-kind along with extreme acts based upon his supernatural strength. The transition phase: Strangely similar to the fictional representation of a Werewolf transformation, Azarak changing forms involves breaking bones and incredibly quick regeneration, which provides him some resistance despite his vulnerability. It takes about ten/twenty seconds to change with a lot of noise and blood.

Name: Jaldoa Alignment: Chaotic Neutral Age: 54 Gender: Male Race: Troll Height: 7ft 2” (Usually stands hunched at 6ft 4”) Weight: 205 pounds Physical Description: Jaldoa dresses in standard shamanistic clothing much akin to Native American tribal outfits; he has nothing even remotely resembling armour and simply a loin cloth to protect his modesty. He does however have a bag not unlike a large quiver which is strapped to his back, holding his wards. He has two pronounced tusks and pointed ears. His nose is incredibly angular and his skin is a dark greenish colour. Although incredibly tall, he usually creeps low to the ground and even when standing normally hunches down somewhat. He has a long loping stride due to the length of his legs, with a muscled athletic build from a life outdoors. He never wears shoes, but has hardened soles on his feet not unlike hide, more than capable of taking pinpricks and the like with no harm. He speaks in an accent somewhat like Jamaican or Cuban. Personality Description: Jaldoa is a shaman, witch doctor and hex master, he fights for the honour of his clan and whenever the will takes him. Although not inherently evil, he has no particular morals on either side of the alignment tree and respects no authority except his own. He follows the whispers of the Loa, the troll gods, and gains his powers through their wisdom. He practises animal sacrifice as part of these rituals. The Troll is cunning and mischievous like most of his race, he himself is somewhat wise as an elder of the clan. Skills, powers and abilities: Physically: Jaldoa is a troll, which means he has a few natural abilities which mean he surpasses humans. For one, he has far more greater stamina, capable of running at full speed for at least an hour without tiring. He can run at about peak human speed, 30mph max. He has brilliant vision and awareness, meaning he can traverse forests etc without tripping over barely visible tree roots. His muscles are compact; he can bench around 300kg. Although his endurance is not particularly more impressive than a human, troll regeneration is unparalleled. He is capable of regenerating from minor wounds slowly during a fight, and can recover from devastating injuries much faster than humans if given the time to rest. He also has a deep spiritual connection to the Loa allowing him to access his troll magic. He is trained to use his staff as a weapon; he’s also accomplished at bush craft and has a fair amount of acrobatic ability, climbing trees etc with ease. Loa magic: Ward magic: Ward of Seeing: A branch with an eye fashioned into the head, when thrown it sticks into the ground (or if the ground is unrelenting it hovers above it) and allows Jaldoa to see clearly in the area through his second sight. His practise with the art allows him to still concentrate on the real world as he does this, and the eye illuminates hidden opponents etc. Ward of Healing: A branch with a smaller branch wrapped three quarters of the way up with twine or rope, it activates in much the same way as the Ward of Seeing and imbues a light healing aura in a small area. It can only affect those he is connected to by the Loa, and obviously it still heals him as well. It works at about one graze every ten seconds, meaning it would staunch blood flow from a cut wound for example in about twenty seconds. It has an effective range of about twenty meters. The range decreases to 15 meters for two people 10 for three etc. Five is the max at a two meter radius. Ward of Warning: A branch split half way down, it deploys the same as the others. Any enemy which strays within ten meters of it is shocked by Loa magic and the ward makes a loud detonating sound as it disintegrates. Ward of Cleansing: Loa magic is considered divine, and the undead are unnatural. The ward is a simple pole with three lines cut into the top, and when deployed it immediately releases a short burst of light which causes severe burning damage to spirits and the undead, or clears blighted ground over a larger radius. Character Equipment: Voodoo Staff: Crafted from the branches of the Loa tree, a Hex Master’s Voodoo staff is the sign of his power as a witch doctor. Some practitioners of Voodoo choose to wear a mask instead, but it’s optional and Joldoa decided on the staff because it can also be used as a weapon. The wood is incredibly resilient, almost on par to steel, and can be used to channel his power. Ward Quiver: Like a small basket strapped to his back, it allows him to carry his wards which he can create through imbuing magical energy into the branches of trees cut into specific shapes. A snare and a spike net kept in his ‘Ward Quiver’ Sacrificial knife
