His feet pounded across the ground, carrying him quickly around the park. Yue was out for his morning run, one that he took every morning at exactly the same time. Most people ran when they got up, before they went to work. Yue had to run after. He worked as a bouncer at a local club, he was tall, fit, and had an eyepatch. It was the perfect job for somebody like him. So why did he run in morning, right after his shift? Well because he was just that disciplined. He had the self control to be able to keep up his morning workouts, despite the recent job change. Most people would just collapse into their beds after working a night shift, but not him. It was almost 8 in the morning, nearly time to head back. Yue had been out here for about an hour, he had been running full speed for the past ten minutes or so. He had worked up a good sweat and was panting, with his tongue sticking out. He let himself rest for a few minutes, hands resting on his knees, just breathing. Sometimes, he half expected to hear somebody yelling at him for stopping, forcing him to continue until he dropped. Sometimes he had to remind himself that he had left the temple when he was eighteen, went to live life the way he wanted to. He still carried the skills, the discipline, and many of the things he had been taught. But he got to do things the way he wanted to, not the way people told him he should do. Once his breathing had gone back to normal, Yue collected his bag and took a drink of water. Then he took off at a light jog, now it was time to head home and sleep for a little while. He was halfway there, just passing by the college, someplace he would never be caught dead in, when he realized he still had one more thing to do. A sigh escaped his lips, he was out of milk, again. Well, at least he remembered BEFORE he ran past the convenience store this time. He didn't like going without milk for very long, so despite the fact that he was sweaty and gross, he would stop by there before he headed home.
