But yeah.  The LIGO findings are crazy.  Ye know, I've met people who honestly believe it's the height of stupidity to spend millions of dollars on things like the Large Hadron Collider, the LIGO facility, or any other big, specialized research facility like that.  "Why spend so much money to build a giant building that's useless except for doing one or two lousy science experiments?!"  

Didn't know the secrets of the universe had a price cap.  Heh, though it's worth noting that the one individual I had this conversation with was not, to my knowledge, a writer.  Gotta be able to dream to really get it.
