Frisk rubbed at her eyes, trying to force the tears to stop. She normally prided herself on being such a strong person, but when it came to past timelines she always fell apart. Her regrets and guilt weighed so heavily on her, and the letting out her tears only brought little relief. She dropped her hands as she listened to Sans, and couldn't help but wince at what he said. It was hard hearing one of the people she cared about most say that he had ever hated her. She knew it, expected it, but it still stung. But it hurt her terribly to hear what he had to say next. Frisk snapped her head up to look at him, so shocked and terrified at his confession. Not once did she ever think that Sans would have such thoughts. Imagining him not being there...It was unthinkable! But she understood. She continued to look at him, unable to bring her attention to anything else. Hearing about Papyrus and his stance on such a thing both warmed and broke her heart. She remembered all too well what it was like to watch him turn to dust...And not once had he been angry at her. He even said that he believed in her, and that deep down he knew she was a good person. Of all the things he could have said, that had been his final words. Frisk broke down into more tears. She rubbed at her eyes again, yet could feel the weight in her chest decreasing. She felt terrible, but the talk was working. She could only hope that Sans was benefiting from it, too. "I-I try to forgive myself. I just," she paused to try to collect herself. "Sometimes I just want to pop out of existence. Just be...Gone. Then no one would have to suffer from my choices." She recalled the time she had killed herself before Sans could finish her off. Rather than fall for the trick that was trying to spare him, she had taken that chance to use her knife on herself. But that hadn't done anyone any good. She had still come back, same as before. Frisk sighed and, before she could stop herself, leaned closer to Sans and wrapped her arms around him. As much as she wanted to give him his space at a time like this, she also wanted the comfort that only came from his hugs.
