Drayden listened to Jack’s proposal before he gave a content nod. “Alright, I can do that.” He said after a few seconds of consideration. Sure, it wasn’t exactly what he’d asked for, but he could only expect to influence Jack, not change him completely. “But don’t be surprised when people start coming to see me defend that belt rather than to see Max Power squash whatever up and coming heel you’ve got headed his way. Once I get that belt, I’m gonna run with it. Take it to the moon and beyond, nothing’s gonna stop me. You think my record book looks good now? Wait until I start putting on clinics with that belt around my waist. You made a good choice boss, thanks for hearing me out,” Drayden smiled and gave the boss a nod before he slipped out of the office. As he opened the door, he met eyes with Connor and smiled. “Hey, man. Good to see ya. Just had a talk with the boss, he’s in a pretty good mood… This is your shot, lay whatever you got out on the table.” Drayden put a hand on Connor’s shoulder and nodded before he headed off out of the building, on his way to his hotel room for the night, to list the days until the belt was his, and things could maybe finally start to look up around here.
