Eying the destruction from the stuffy confines of the observer port, Moritz listened as his crew shouldered another AT round, and waited anxiously for the end result of their actions. THRUMP. The Panzer III shook violently as its main gun sent an 3.7 cm AT shell barrelling towards the sole surviving T-26. It was a hit, a wonderful hit, and the Russian tank exploded into flames - its obsolete armour unable to hinder the projectile. Moritz slumped backwards, even as automatic fire continued to ping off the metal just a few inches away from his face. "Thank God for that," he remarked, breathlessly. His crew roared their excitement, congratulating each other like school children who'd just excelled in an exam. Like school children. Moritz snapped back into focus, "that's enough comrades; this war isn't over yet, not by a long shot!" They quietened down, and went back to rigging up their weapon for another shot - but there were no more targets. The Russian tanks had been destroyed, or driven off. Now the way was clear. Peering back from the observation slit, Moritz could see the houses beyond the line of trees being stricken by a hap-hazard array of explosions. It seemed that Jager had gotten himself into the fight with his mortars. Moritz tuned his radio to the Logistics Attachment, "Second request from Panzergrenadierkompanie B. We've a StuG without tracks; requesting an additional team to deal with that, ASAP." And then he tuned into the company frequency. "This is Greiter; Russian counter attack broken, well done to all concerned. Adalhard, we'll advance on the town directly but cautiously - shoot anything and everything, but watch your flank. We'll stop when we get to the trees, I don't want to risk any more of our panzers by venturing further. Good job, by the way." With that, Moritz gave the order to his tankers, and the three remaining Panzer IIIs started a slow crawl towards the town. They would stop periodically, to fire a barrage of HE at enemy positions, as well as bursts from their machineguns.
