"Ehh? The heck is your problem? Well...whatever, thanks. But I can do it myself, so next time mind your own goddamn business." Adam's eyebrows slowly rose in mild surprise as she walked away. They dropped just as slowly as he took note of one of the girls, the flamethrower, reaching for him. Briefly, he looked over at her curiously before she was dragged away by a beautiful blonde girl, an American going by the accent. He watched them go a moment later before he heard a familiar voice beside him. "Wow you're tall. Like. I have a snake back home who's as big as you, but like, he never stands up this is incredible." Adam looked over at the smaller man beside him. A kid he recognized from last year, actually. Had this guy never noticed Adam before? Even he knew he was hard to miss, much to his shyness's distress. The only thing Adam noticed other than he'd seen this guy before---Alexander, that was his name---was the 5 foot long snake draped around his shoulders. The silent assassin's hair stood on end and he took a step away from Alexander. In Germany he'd heard many folktales of children being swallowed whole by snakes and turning into men who would rape the village women after convincing them to get warm in their beds[sup]1[/sup]. In any case, regardless if those tales were true, he'd just prefer not to be around snakes. With a slightly off-putting smile, he waved at Alexander and moved away, thinking he'd talk to the boy later. He made his way to the table and signed himself and Paolo up for two separate rooms. Ah, Privacy. The best part of being a third year. He sighed contently and leaned back, looking around the school. Sure he was a little hungry, but there was something he'd been missing about this school since he left for the break. Heading in a different direction from everyone else, Adam left the other students behind.
Adam set his large rolling luggage down as he entered the Academy's lavish music room. It was quiet and dark with only the light of the windows beaming through to shed light on the rows of chairs, music sheet stands and high tech smartboard up at the front. He smiled as he took leisurely long strides to his centerpiece. Sitting right below the widows, which had been opened and allowed for a slight breeze to blow the luxurious white curtains in a gentle billowing motion, was a large grand piano that had its top propped open with the hilt. He approached the piano, slowly stroking over the keys like they were a loved one that hadn't been seen in a long time. A smile crept onto his face. He moved the chair back and sat down with an audible creak coming from the chair, his large frame hunched over the keys. Hesitantly, he plucked at a key, then a few more. He paused, stretching his fingers and moving his shoulders back so he could sit up straight, his hands resting on top of the ivory colored keyboard. His piano back home was of much lesser quality, and desperately needed repairs. It had been an inheritance though, and he used it all the time simply to please his family on the bearance of its sentimental value. However, this piano, this instrument was his favorite. The elegance, the new wood, the perfect on key sounds... Yes, he loved this piano. The song he had been working on was something he'd been wanting to play on this piano all summer. With a deep breath, he looked down at the piano and began to play, his fingers moving rapidly.
