Full Name: Loredana Kadar Nicknames/Titles: Lora/Beta Kadar Occupation: Drifter Birthday: July 19th Height: 5’ 8” Weight: 125 lbs. Race: Lupine (Nonhuman) Sex/Gender: Cis female Age: 20 Sexuality: Pansexual Place of Birth: H’kela (Later residences include Barcea for a short time and Gurata for many years) Biography: The lupine element in Lora can be traced back to a tribe of the same in Gurata, where her ancestors resided. Her father’s family split in different directions two generations before her, her grandfather heading into H’kela for a change of pace. The change of scenery was only permanent for one son, as the older headed back to Gurata once he came of age. The second son stayed, even once his parents were gone, and forged a life for himself in the hot land. In time he fell in love and settled down, but the picket fence only lasted so long. H’Kela and Barcea’s conflicts eventually grew so that they couldn’t be ignored any longer, and the conflict became more than just words and displays of force. The war began, and Lora’s mother and father found themselves at odds with their homeland—different Divines deemed as the one to be worshipped splitting them apart. The two had a child and determined that H’Kela was no longer a safe place to raise her. They fled to Barcea, where they were housed graciously under the terms that they continue to worship Ambrosia and support the war effort. Before long, that meant heading West to help Olain. Lora was no more than a child when her parents took her to Barcea, and all she remembers are flashes. Blue and white, the King’s children, and the walls. Her stone house and the road home—her parent’s faces. She was barely more than a child when her parents sent her from Barcea to her uncle in Gurata and safely from the fight that had consumed their lives. In between the cold mountains her uncle kept the rest of the world far from her, immersing her in their tribe of those just like them and filling her life with Kisarin’s culture until there was no room for anything but flashes of the past. By the time Olain was dead and Kori put the conflict on standby, her parents were nothing more than memory to her and the rest of the world. Her uncle passed in the years that followed, and the tribe raised her until she had the will and the way to want answers. She wanted to make sense of the flashes that haunted her and understand how and why she lost her childhood. Lora took off to head south, out of the mountains and into the cities. After two years of digging she found her parents and records of the efforts they made, and the memories began to piece themselves back together. Only recently has she turned her head back to Gurata, almost satisfied with her search. Personality: Lora was born a wild child, screaming and laughing at every opportunity. Her father encouraged her playfulness while her mother scorned it and wished she could face matters with more seriousness. She got her wish with their move, the hushed run from H’kela telling even her as a child that they were in danger. In Barcea she was allowed to play only with the other children, and was taught to control herself in the presence of adults. The two directions given and the acceptable personalities in each place led her to shift between high spirits and a sort of quiet seriousness based on her company and what she senses the mood to be. Lora responds well to gentle authority and poorly to aggressive direction, and can be quick to resent people when there is no sensible explanation to their behavior. Likes: Sweet tastes, animals of all kinds, tender meats, warm food, soft blankets, pine trees, snow, campfire stories, helping people Dislikes: Bitter tastes, spices, deserts, pain, aggressive people, unclear direction and/or descriptions, disappointing people Skills/Strengths: Hunting, tracking, camouflage, killing without weapons, taking on partial responsibility while under another’s direction, knife-wielding, empathizing, endurance/stamina, horseback riding Flaws/Weaknesses: Having too much responsibility without direction, working under pressure without confidence, participating without understanding, handling large weapons such as swords, defending herself (nonviolently), combat situations Weapons/Equipment: Skinning/throwing knives, a hunting spear with dark green rope wrapped around the connection between shaft and head and curving symbols carved into it around the end Appearance: She stands around an average height, if not an inch or two above. Heavy dark green coats and cloaks obscure an average body with a nice layer of muscle. More muscle is built along her legs and her shoulders, from days of trekking her belongings across the terrain of Gurata. She has a thick head of moderately straight hair, black strands beside silver ones blending together into a deep gray. Peeking out from her hair are dark grey wolf’s ears that betray her otherwise human appearance. Her teeth are somewhere between human and canine, with flat incisors but long canines and sharp molars. Her fingers are long and nails longer, and her feet are long without being wide. A thin line of fur matching her hair runs down her back from the nape of her neck to her waist, where it flourishes into a long, fluffy tail. Her human skin is pale and each feature on her face is full and generous with expression. Her eyes are a bright shade of turquoise, neither green nor blue and a common color to Kadars.
